altext generates clear, accurate alt text for your photos using AI — so the images you share are accessible to everyone, including people who use screen readers. Pick a photo, take one, or paste an image from your clipboard, and altext writes a natural description in seconds. Edit it if you want, then copy it or post directly to Bluesky or Mastodon with the alt text already attached — no extra steps, no forgetting. FEATURES • AI-generated alt text from your photos, powered by Google Gemini • Edit any description before you copy or share it • One-tap posting to Bluesky and Mastodon with alt text included • Built for accessibility: full VoiceOver support, Dynamic Type, and high-contrast dark and light themes • No accounts, no image storage — your photos are processed and immediately discarded Whether you're a content creator, a social media regular, or you just believe images should be accessible to everyone, altext makes writing good alt text effortless.
