AlzApp is a collection of games designed to help people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia bond with their loved ones and caregivers. Play a twist on the classic word search game and find the names of your friends and family within word search puzzles of varying difficulty. As you find their names their faces appear on the screen, improving the memory of associating the name to the face.
- Two game types: Play regular word search or add your friends and family and find their names for a twist.
- Regular word search: Thousands of words to find.
- Name search: Find your friends and family and see their faces appear.
- Three levels of difficulty.
This version of the Alz App is made to comply with all new iOS app regulations and new Apple devices. Still providing a free platform for caregivers to connect with their loved ones living with Alzheimer's disease.

customizable crosswords w/ picture supports!
Customizable, simple and helpful app for recalling words and names. Thanks!
It’s just a word search. Not “good”for Alzheimer’s
I was hoping for more options than just a simple word search.
My father has vascular dementia, Alzheimer’s AND Lewy body dementia (yes, a person can have all 3). He is not early stages but not end stage either, but this is useless to him and every other person in the memory care unit with him. Seriously, what were you thinking?
I’m specifically looking for “adult looking” (not toddler looking) games but that are a VERY simple basic game. If it looks like it’s for toddlers, they will throw this down and refuse to touch it…. But it has to be BASIC AND SIMPLE!
Things like the flyswatter game but super easy…. Things like match the tool to the job kind of thing…. Or the game where you have an image of a hammer and you pound the nail in….
Come on. It’s not that hard. Spend some time with any amount of dementia patients and you quickly see the things they’d like
In my case, I’m searching for things to distract and entertain my dad while he participates in a special brain scan. (He’ll be waiting for 6 hours and need to be kept entertained and calm.)
Bottom line is I hope you didn’t put a lot of money into this app.
A great tool to use
This app is user-friendly and not overly technical. A great tool to use when interacting with your loved ones living with Alzheimer's and Dementia.
