Great service for years
I have been an Amalgamated Bank account holder for over 40 years. The service has been great and very dependable. When I accidentally wrote a check on my account that was larger than my balance, I actually got a call from the bank calling the problem to my attend and waiving the service charge for the bounced check. I bank with other institutions as I spread my funds around but no other bank provides the service I get from Amalgamated. I also like the bank’s history and investment values. I couldn’t be happier.
Fine app
Definitely much improved from what I signed up with a few years ago. Easier credentialing but still secure. More services like Zelle and Apple Pay. My other accounts are with a large credit union and this app is now my preferred platform for day to day transactions.
Definitely not fancy but does the basics very well
Needs to be easier
I don’t even use the app too much except when I deposit a check. It is too painful to use. I don’t see why all options on the website are not available on the app. And my login has failed so many times that I still have to log in manually. Amalgamated website has just as many issues. I just wish banks would ask ten people to use the app before putting it out just to see if it works.
