-- Import from, and Export to, Other 3D Formats -- When importing a video, CosmiCut will now detect common non-spatial 3D video formats (like side-by-side) and automatically convert them to spatial videos during the import. When exporting, users can now choose to save the finished project in additional non-spatial 3D video formats. -- Batch Spatial Conversions -- You can now use the Project Inspector to convert all 2D videos to spatial in a batch process. This batch conversion is also now available as asn option during export. -- New Export Sheet -- A new export sheet gives more configurations and options during rendering and saving projects.

* Fixed Menu Item Bug The Mac and iPad menu item for exporting projects is functional again. * Fixed VisionOS Audio Playback Bug Audio playback could previously sound strange in VisionOS when viewing Spatial videos. * Added Spatial Gif Preview Sheet Exported Spatial Gifs now display in a preview sheet instead of exporting directly to the Photos app.

Version 2.6 (2026-04) * CosmiCut now includes two built-in ML options for generating depth from mono images and videos. DepthAnythingV2, used in previous versions of CosmiCut, is still available and is now labeled “Less Accurate and Fast.” You can also choose a new “Very Accurate and Slow” pipeline built around a custom model derived from Apple’s Depth Pro. Both options deliver better results than the spatial conversion system used in earlier versions of CosmiCut, thanks to new temporal normalization and object mapping. * Video exports now take advantage of Apple’s new background APIs on version 26 operating systems. That means CosmiCut can keep exporting even if you return to the Home Screen, switch to another app, or let your display go to sleep. * Imported images will still be turned into Ken Burns-style animations automatically. However, because CosmiCut now gives you more control over how depth is added, imported images are no longer converted to spatial automatically. * Fixed a bug in the previous version of CosmiCut that could prevent projects from copying correctly and cause some data to remain shared between copied projects. * Buttons should now be easier to tap and select across all platforms. * The RealityKit Spatial Preview now uses Apple’s disparity APIs to generate more accurate depth maps from clips. * The real-time visionOS Clip Editor Spatial Preview has also been improved with shallower depth for greater comfort, a floating play button, and a more constrained player size to avoid overlapping other interface elements. * CosmiCut Unlock is now available as a one-time purchase, letting you export watermark-free forever. * You can now export the current frame of a clip from the Clip Editor as an animated spatial GIF.

Changes to filters and effects are still reflected in the preview. • Music Editor Improvements: The Music Editor now syncs (while scrubbing and playing) with the Timeline player, so you can see how your edits affect the final mix in real-time. We also fixed some layout issues for the Music Editor across all platforms. • Mac and iPad Menu Commands: Common operations (creating new projects, adding clips, play/pause, etc...) are now available as menu commands (with keyboard shortcuts) for Mac and iPad. • Migration to Swift 6: We've successfully migrated to Swift 6 (and, with it, gained additional stability and performance improvements). • Bug Fixes and Tweaks: Little improvements and tweaks across the app for all platforms (with lots of polish, especially, for the Vision Pro version). • Fixed a bug that could prevent the use of the music editor.

NEW MAJOR VERSION: • Version 2.0 represents a ground-up rewrite of UI/UX for CosmiCut (plus a handful of new features to boot! • 'Sequences' are now 'Projects.' Clips are added directly from the new Project Timeline. • Speaking of which, the 'Project' Timeline is also compeletly re-designed. You can still drag and drop clips to reorder them but now you can add clips directly to the spot in the timeline you want them. Added music tracks display (with a waveform) beneath the clips in the timeline. And, when you open a clip in a project with a music track), the clip editing screen will have the correctly synced music track to make editing easier). BUG FIX: • This update resolves issues with handling subscriptions

*** Turn 2D Clips into Spatial Videos *** • From the Clip Settings sheet, you can now use ML to create a Spatial Video version of any 2D clip. *** Clip Timeline Improvements *** • Improved rendering and display of thumbnails for clips. • Added vertical scrubber to better indicate playhead position. *** Tweaked Export/Preview/Save Workflow *** • Exporting videos to your Photos library or the filesystem now requires fewer clicks. *** UI Polish *** • Additional, app-wide, UI polish and performance improvements. This includes font changes and tweaked icons and colors.

*** Export videos to filesystem or Photos *** ___________________ • You can now choose to save finished clips and sequences to either your filesystem or your Photos library. Subscribers can set the default export location in the Settings menu.

Fixed an issue where sequences beginning with an iPhone-recorded portrait video were not displaying in portrait orientation.

*** UI Polish *** ___________________ • The placement of the 'Spatial' icon (to indicate that a clip is Spatial) has been moved to the top right corner of the clip preview. • In the Sequence Timeline, when a clip is too small to display the full preview circle, the entire clip will be filled with the preview thumbnail. • The titles of clips within a sequence are now always visible at the bottom of the clip. *** Bug Fixes *** ___________________ • A handful of bugs have been squashed (including one that required signing back into your Apple account when CosmiCut launched).

Effects in Spatial Videos --------------------------- You can now apply effects (upped to a total of five) to your spatial videos. Your effects can be previewed in 3D (on Vision Pro) and Spatial videos can be exported with effects (and remain fully spatial!) Filter Presets in Spatial Videos --------------------------- This version also introduces a new feature -- filters. These are preset effects that you can apply to your videos (and they will automatically be applied in 3D on Vision Pro). These filters also completely work with standard 2D videos. New Export/Preview/Save Workflow --------------------------- Now that all filters and effects can be applied to Spatial videos (in exactly the same way as traditional 2D videos) the option of which format should be used for an export has been moved into the export sheets. For Apple Vision Pro owners, this is also now where you can preview the Spatial version of your video before saving it to your Photos Library.
