Description

Use this app to control your Arc II unit to capture incredible videos and time-lapses. There are multiple modes to choose from depending on what you’re filming.

Automatic Face Tracking - Get in the frame and start filming. Arc II tracks your movement and keeps you in the shot. Change the framing, tracking speed, and even loop your slider for interview shots. Note: this mode requires you to mount your phone to your camera. See our website for the Camera Phone Mount.

Video Mode - Use the intuitive trackpads to setup your move. Create keyframes to adjust up to 4 axis of movement.

Remote Control - Use the trackpads to control Arc II and your Rhino Slider in real time. Loop your slider when you want to focus on nailing your pan/tilt move. You can lock off individual axis for more precise control and even change the sensitivity of the pad.

Time-Lapse - Setup a time-lapse in minutes with the easy-to-use controls. Arc II can also trigger your camera’s shutter to eliminate motion blur. Note: shutter triggering requires a shutter release cable that can be purchased on our website.

App isn’t at full potential

Please consider the following 3 key points…

The auto-focus tracking needs improvement especially considering you’re using the iPhones camera inside the app to track a subject.

Here’s my recommendation:

1. Make the camera inside the app have access to utilize all 3 cameras on the iPhone.

For example, if I’m using the iPhone 13 pro, let me have the option of using the super wide / normal / telephoto lens. I believe that will allow the rhino arc II to track better.

2. Make this app support any ipad. IPad mini would be insanely great. Please make this a reality asap.

3. If the only viewfinder we saw through a phone/iPad was the actual cameras that we are shooting with that’s on the arc II, that would enable far superior auto tracking of a subject than trying to replicate the same with the lens of an iPhone/iPad.

Please do these changes, I want to use this rhino arc II on every shoot from now on!!

No support for iPad

Please add iPad support. It’s hard enough not having an Android app, but no iPad support is salt in the wound. However, I love the hardware! When I load the app on iPad, there is no pan tilt axis when creating key frames.

It’s been over 3 years and still no timelapse functionality in App

The Arc II is a decent motion head for video and timelapse work. What bothers me the most is that I have owned the Arc II for over 3 years and there’s STILL no TIMELAPSE functionality in the app. Even with the latest firmware update they still show “coming very soon.” - the exact same message as years ago when the product first came out.

Rhino Camera Gear- Please add the promised functionality for timelapse via the app. It surely can’t be all that difficult considering the functionality is already there in video mode.
