HOW TO E-HAIL WITH ARRO:
Simply open the app and enter your destination. Immediately, you’ll receive a fare estimate, route preview, and an ETA for the nearest available driver for your trip. When the ride is over, the fare is paid automatically with the card on file or other payment method you added to your account!
HOW TO E-PAY WITH ARRO:
USA: If you are already in a taxi that you didn’t hail with our app, you can still use ARRO for faster payment! From the home screen, select “I’M ALREADY IN A TAXI”, then enter the 7-digit check-in code displayed at the top of the taxi’s screen to pair the meter with your ARRO account. At the end of your trip, your fare will be paid automatically and your receipt will be emailed to you!
LONDON: You can use ARRO to pay for all Black Taxis in London. From the home screen, select “I’M ALREADY IN A TAXI”. Then request the check-in code from your driver and enter the 7-digit code to pair the meter with your ARRO account. At the end of your trip, your fare will be paid automatically and your receipt will be emailed to you!
Please note changes to ARRO’s Terms and Conditions, effective January 15, 2019:
- With respect to E-Hail only, a service fee of $1.95 will apply to trip orders initiated through ARRO in New York City.
- This fee does not apply to E-Pay transactions (i.e. payment inside the taxi through its pairing code)
- This fee does not apply outside of New York City.
- This fee will be effective as of January 15, 2019.
Ratings and Reviews
Requested my first ride the other day. The driver proceeded to pick up another person at a completely different address (many blocks away such that it couldn’t have been mistake) and watched on the app as the driver drove that person to the airport (which was nowhere near the designation I input when requesting a pickup). I was charged for the ride, and Arro Support has been slow to respond and won’t tell me when I can expect a full refund. Very frustrating customer service experience - It should be obvious from the trip record the driver just picked someone else up and ignored my request, and it’s pretty absurd that the app somehow allows the fare to start running even though he never came near the actual pick up point.
Worst of them all
None of the car service apps are great but this is by far the worst. Requested a ride, said it was less than a minute away, 20 min later and I’m still waiting. I called him thinking he was lost and he told me he didn’t have the arro app and didn’t use it. Canceled my ride and called an Uber, 2 minutes later he shows up YELLING at me to get in the car. I told him I cancelled and he proceeded to tell me the whole thing was my fault. Never using again.
This app will not impose surge pricing but don’t be surprised if you find “congestion surcharge” or “Improvement surcharge” on your receipt. Improvement for what?? This is just from hailing a cab on the street, not an e-hail request. Super sneaky way to add money to your bill just to avoid spending an extra 30-seconds paying by card.
