Like training wheels teaches a child to to ride a bike, ASD TOOLS helps your child stay calm, learn new skills and transition smoothly from one activity to the next, until they can do these things without support.
ASD TOOLS is a framework of proven strategies which will grow with your child for many years and the structure gives you the tools to help, guide and support them at the level they need.
SCHOOLS:
The app works for all developmental delays and levels and it's even great for neurotypical kids too.
ASD TOOLS has been nominated as the go-to support app for Autistic students in numerous schools in Australia, USA and UK. The beauty of the app is that it isn't just for ASD but is also extremely helpful for students with ADHD, Downs Syndrome and other developmental delays.
THERAPISTS:
BCBA, OT, SLP and Early Intervention Therapists are using ASD TOOLS because it breaks down anything into easy to achieve steps which a child can follow and learn from using proven strategies they work with everyday.
PARENTS & CARERS:
Parents love us because the app helps them capture their child's day. It's editable and provides consistent structure and supports that all kids on the spectrum need to feel calm and in control.

Good but need audio recording
Would love to have the option of recording names for each picture . Otherwise it is an awesome app because the images are larger than some of the other picture schedule app that I had used.
Developer Response ,
Thanks for the feedback. We will look into adding it in a future update. Please contact us at info@asdtools.com if you experience any further problems.
Not there
This app is too basic for being roughly 11 years old. It will get the job done for me and my ASD child considering I paid for it. It’s just frustrating. I don’t want to get harsh I think this app is cute and has potential it just has fixes that need to be made. The side panel buttons have no labels. The visual schedule lists are not editable. You mess up one thing or need to add in a task to the middle of the list then you have to restart the entire list. You cannot permanently set a timer on tasks in the visual schedule lists. Due to that I have to ask seperate timers in the timer list. Neither me nor my child have to patience to switch back and forth between lists. To remedy that I could have used split screen with a timer however this app does not support split screen. And the picture icons have set labels that can’t be changed I don’t always want to go seek out pictures being able to change labels to a picture that suits us would be nice. Understandably things can’t always be a one size fits all but even for basic needs this doesn’t fit very well. Hope the creators can fix these issues. The interface really is cute the alarms sounds are adorable.
Developer Response ,
Thank you for your candid feedback Warthunder1 I can understand your frustration. You can reach out to me anytime on Instagram, inside the app (via the Contact Us button) or via my website www.asdtools.com. If you had reached out earlier I could have helped save you a lot of this frustration. There is a bug fix being worked on right now address a lot of the issues you have raised.
The side menu will be getting labels in the next update.
All items can be edited to a certain extent. If it is a visual schedule that came with the app, you can only delete it (this will soon be updated so you can edit them). To edit hold your finger on the item in the menu and swipe left. It will bring up the edit or delete function.
To add a new item into a visual schedule, go into edit mode (swipe left and select edit), add an image (it will appear at the bottom of the list) then hold it for 2 seconds and you will be able to move it into the position you want it.

I wish it were faster too but I'm a parent too and a solo creator. I develop and maintain this at night as I'm working full time to fund this for you and all of my other users so I appreciate your and everyone else's patience with this as apps are expensive to create.
Thank you for your compliments, I'm glad you like the look of the app and I will certainly work very hard to implement the changes for your pain points as quickly as possible.
The next update is will be out in April. Choiceboards are being added, bugs with the visual schedules fixed, labels on the side menu added and then shortly afterward the image library and timer will be receiving more love and attention.
I would really appreciate the opportunity to learn what other features in the app can improved too, but for that I really need your help, can you please reach out to me via the CONTACT US button inside the app, via my website www.asdtools.com or on Instagram @asdtools_app so I can hear what needs to change to support you and all of my other users more.
Great app!
I work in education and have been using this app for many years. It’s made my work so much easier being able to carry my visual schedule with me on a tablet or phone, rather than printing and laminating everything. The new features are really fun, I let my students pick which timer they want when they are working. I would highly recommend this to anybody who works with students or adults who need visuals!
Developer Response ,
motorabout, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I'm absolutely delighted to hear you and your students are loving the new features especially the visual timers and visual schedules. The time spent making them and the success screens engaging and fun for kids was definitely worth the effort in my book and it's one of my favourite new features for the update. Thank you for being the best part of ASD TOOLS, it's teachers and therapists like yourself that keeps driving me to create better solutions. If you have any questions or requests for new features, please email me at info@asdtools.com
