Description
Toolkit for stargazing
Astroweather is weather forecast dedicated to weather for astronomical observation
Astroweather is derived from product from 7timer.org, incorporated astronomical weather forecast and sunset/sunrise, moonrise/moonset display
Web-based metrological forecast products, mainly derived from the NOAA/NCEP-based numeric weather model, the Global Forecast System (GFS).
7Timer! was firstly established in July 2005 as an exploration product under supported of the National Astronomical Observatories of China and had been largely renovated in 2008 and 2011. Currently it is supported by the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory of Chinese Academy of Sciences. It was firstly designed as a weather forecast tool for astronomical purpose, as the author himself is a long-term star gazer and was always annoyed by fluky weather conditions.
Astroweather also provide services including:
1. Astronomical event forecast
2. Light pollution map, satellite images
3. Rise and set times for stars, planets, moons and satellites
4. An astronomy forum

Ratings and Reviews
Wished I could like it
Unfortunately the Events are in Chinese.
Developer Response ,
The event section will be translated into English in the near future.
A solid, useful app being actively developed
I don’t rate all of the apps I use but I wanted to weigh in here as the app had not received a lot of reviews and the ones out there are outdated. While there are a couple of Astro weather apps that I like better, this one should still be on your device. It is useful, accurate, is actively being developed and improved and does offer some tools (sky chart) that others do not.
The developer recently added English for the events tab and the events listed are broader than those listed in other apps.
The more developers we have working on tools for astrophotography the better. Support this one, it is worth it.
Chinese prompt on app start
On initial app start it asks for location and notification permissions, which is fine. But then there is a third dialog in Chinese with a smiley face and an 'ok' button. I have no idea what I'm agreeing to. Uninstalled.
Developer Response ,
it was just a notification
