Description
Attune™ is the first prescription digital therapeutic specifically designed to treat the symptoms of anxiety and depression related to cancer.
Delivered via a mobile app, attune™ is a digital version of Cognitive Behavioral Stress Management (CBSM), a behavioral intervention that has been used and studied extensively in cancer patients for over 20 years. Attune™ provides cognitive behavioral therapy, relaxation therapy, stress management techniques and coping strategies as an adjunct to other medical treatments for adult cancer patients.
In June 2020, attune™ received Breakthrough Therapy Designation from the U.S Food and Drug Administration. The FDA recognizes that cancer patients are struggling now more than ever, and its recent enforcement guidance enables the program’s immediate release. Attune™ is only available by prescription. Very Important after Cancer Diagnosis and Beyond
I found attune offered good suggestions. The exercises were easy to figure out. While I had learned many of these skills in life, having cancer made the refresher and focus very important.
Liked the variety of skills. Having to repeat and practice some exercises felt tedious at first, but I’m glad I did the work. I found my favorite exercises and can repeat them in the car before appointments. And I still use them in survivorship.
Really important is distinguishing what is within and outside my control. I would have appreciated this earlier in the experience.
