Automate Pulse is an easy to use interface used to configure and control motorized window shades using the Automate "ARC" radio motor platform. Whether you are at home or away you can accurately control your shades via the animated interface on your smartphone. Bi-directional communication allows you to visualize the exact positioning of your internal and external shades while also allowing you to check the battery health of your wirefree motors. Getting started is simple via the easy to follow setup wizard. Create rooms, set timers & scenes for optimum comfort and allow Automate PULSE to take control. Installers can also take advantage of the convenient remote free setup to efficiently set motor limits with their smart phone. · Requires the ARC Pulse Hub – available from your Rollease Acmeda Automate Motorized Shade Dealer Features: Each Pulse Hub supports up to 30 motorized window treatments · Create up to 20 Rooms, Scenes and timers · Invite up to 4 users per Pulse Hub with full control privileges and their own “Favorites” list. · Administrator account allows system configuration- o Set up, activate and deactivate timers o Create Scenes o Adjust travel limits o Create multiple locations (up to 5) and add Pulse hubs (up to 5) · Control screens provide motor status including- o Operate motors to any position desired § Up, down, stop and move to position control § Animation and end position status provided through 2 way feedback from motors. § Battery health for Wirefree rechargeable motors o Favorite position setting & recall

So far I’m unimpressed. I added all my blinds which took a while and set up scenes and automations. It worked well for a few weeks until the app randomly wiped everything.

Set up the hub and connect to the shades are not easy. I went through many trial and error. When it finally works, one of my four shades would lose connection with the hub once a week. I have to use the remote a few times to trigger the shade and then it would reconnect with the hub. The interface is OK, but since I use Apple HomeKit, I don’t use this app often unless the hub drops connection with one of the shades again. In Nov, they emailed me and saying that I have to mail the hub to them to fix an issue related to the v1.9.0 firmware, and the process will take two weeks. When it is fixed, I will have to go through the setup nightmare again. I won’t recommend their products, app and shades. There are several other HomeKit compatible shades on the market with similar price, and my friends have those; they don’t have as much issues as I have with Rollease.

The hub for my shades and the phone app became disconnected and I tried to reconnect but ended up resetting the hub. Fortunately, George at tech support to the rescue. He talked me through the procedure to connect the app to the hub -an exercise in patience- and then the steps to add each shade to the app. With George’s tutoring, I learned how to finish the setup with Alexa. The tutorials only took me so far. It was the ability to have a phone conversation with tech support that earned this app its high review.

Extremely unreliable - CHOOSE SOMFY??

This app would be great if it weren’t for constant problems where it times out doing anything and you have to give up. During these times I can still control the blind with Alexa, so it is likely a problem with just the backend that the app talks to.These are intermittent problems, but I’d say they happen 10-20% of the time, seems like particularly on weekends but I may be mistaken about that.Please get your act together Rollease!!i love these blinds but this company clearly struggles with software engineering.I wish I’d went with Somfy 🙁
