Description

Backgammon is a classic board game popular with many players around the world. Whether you are a beginner or expert player, this game may help to exercise your mind or relax after a long day at work. Enjoy classic gameplay right on your device, train your brain and have fun!

How to play Backgammon:

- Classic Backgammon is a logic puzzle for two, played on a board of 24 triangles called points.
- Each player sits on the opposite sides of the board with 15 checkers, black or white.
- To start the game, players take turns and roll the dice.
- Players move pieces based on the numbers rolled. For example, if you roll 2 and 5, you can move one piece 2 points and another one 5 points. Alternatively, you can move one piece 7 points.
- Once all of a player’s pieces are in his or her “home”, that player may begin removing pieces off of the board.
- A player wins once all of their pieces are removed from the board.

A few more things to know:

- Rolling two of the same number allows you to move 4 times. For example, for a roll of 4 and 4, you can move a total of 16 points, although each piece must move 4 points at a time.
- You cannot move a piece to a point that is occupied by 2 or more of your opponent’s pieces
- If you move a piece to a point with only 1 of your opponent’s pieces on it, the rival’s piece is removed from the board and placed on the middle partition.

Simple and intuitive design lets you focus on the gameplay and master your skills. Start your first round, challenge yourself and keep your brain active!

still fun but frustrating and seems fixed

The opponent, and sometimes the player will roll 3 & 4 doubles in a row usually during the final phase and if the opponent needs one, random combination to hit you, they most certainly will roll it. The opponent almost always wins the opening toss. Throughout the game, but especially during pulling the opponent seems to get an unnatural amount of doubles and if you have an open slot during pulling, you will surely roll that number multiple times, but then just to throw you a bone, AI will make your last roll a double when you’ve already won and it doesn’t help you. There are so many reviews repeating this information, and it appears that the developers are replying saying that this is a random experience but the reply is probably AI too!

Hi, thanks for the review! We apologize for any frustration you've experienced. Our game uses a fair and random dice rolling system, ensuring equal chances for both players. While it may seem like the computer opponent gets more doubles, it's important to remember that randomness can sometimes result in streaks or patterns. It's important to consider the law of large numbers. With a sufficient number of games played, the distribution of rolls should approximate the expected probabilities.

I like the graphics, I like the movement. after playing many games, I have found that once you become comfortable playing the game the programmers screw you. I have played hundreds of thousands of games of backgammon (over 40+ years) but this program gets to a point where it only rolls doubles for the opponent whilst you can only roll unusable combinations. It's like all the current computer games which are designed to teach you the only winning hand is to delete the app. I could have predicted the response of the developer – in fact I did predict the response of the programmer. they claim everything is as a result of a random number generator – that may be true after they've eliminated certain combinations already, depending on whether it's the program player or the live player. it would have been a wonderful game if they programmed it straight -but when in multiple games in sequence, the computer rolls high doubles on every roll & the human is given low non-usuable combinations on EVERY roll - that's not random. I was just amazed at how many times that the computer snatched victory out of the jaws of defeat in many consecutive games. I finally figured out the correct winning strategy – I deleted the app.

Hello, thank you fort the feedback! We understand your concerns. The dice rolls in our app are always determined by a RNG. It's natural to notice certain patterns during gameplay; however, the nature of randomness means that sometimes sequences or patterns can emerge that seem non-random, but they are just part of the statistical probability.

Definitely rigged..

UPDATE…. This game still shows favorably toward the computer… obviously others feel the exact same way… if it is designed to be the luck of the roll , then I am terribly unlucky… Quite frankly, it is unreal how unfair it appears 90% of the time…. I do not know enough of the behind the scenes…algorithms or whatever you call it… BUT something is not right! I have played tooooo many times for a very long time and everything is the same…almost predictable! Just saying…just a shame….😞

I have been playing for a while now. Although I do get doubles from time to time, it seems very rigged for the computer to always get 2 to 3 sets of doubles in the final quadrant. I have given it enough time to see if it equals out or balances out and it doesn’t. I have tried different ways of playing each game after I lose and inevitably the computer gives my opponent two and three sets of doubles in a row. It’s gotten to the point where it’s not fun anymore. I’m not a sore loser. But accept the challenge after I do lose to replay and try a different strategy. Time to move on…

Hi there, thank you for sharing your feedback with us! We understand that you feel the game favors the computer and the rolls may seem predictable or unfair at times. We want to assure you that the game is designed to provide a fair and balanced experience for all players. The dice rolls are generated randomly through an algorithm to ensure that each roll is independent of the previous ones. However, we also acknowledge that streaks or patterns may sometimes occur due to the nature of random events. The law of large numbers states that as the number of occurrences increases, the observed results tend to align with the expected probabilities. It means that over a significant number of games, the distribution of rolls will converge towards the expected probabilities, but in individual games, some unusual patterns might occur. We constantly monitor player feedback and strive to improve the game's experience. Our team is committed to providing the best possible gameplay and will continue to work on enhancing the game's mechanics.
