Huge improvements
The app has been markedly improved over the last six months. Many of these reviews are from over a year ago, which do not apply to today’s app. The app is now excellent. I highly recommend it.
Great. One request.
Overall, this is a great app. The most important parts - the game play - are excellent.
I would have rated it a 5 were it not for one detail: sound. Even though you can turn the sounds off during game play, you cannot turn the sound off when the analysis comes up after a match. I prefer my apps that are not music/podcasts to be quiet at all times and this is a small detail with major annoyance. I have to remember to play without the volume on my phone up at all if I want to play while waiting for a plane or something.

Hi. We are aware of this issue and will hopefully be fixed in a couple of months from now, when we update the game interface technology. Will you promise that you come back and rate us 5 stars when we do? :)
Bugs are improving
Update: has been much improved, far less bugs, but still has too many hiccups.
bug I’ve noticed is still happening:
I will complete a game and it will say “still analyzing” but then will never record that game and won’t adjust rating accordingly. I’m starting to give up on this app
I love the fact that it analyzes your game. But more than half the time I’m worried about if the game will glitch out. It will sometimes start a game and won’t load me in and I’ll still lose the match and lose rating points. Very frustrating app. I’ve had several experiences where I won a match but it doesn’t reflect in my error rating because it will say “still analyzing” but never ends up counting. I’ve also had it happen where I move a piece but it won’t let me confirm the play and I end up running out of time.

Hi, we are a small team that is aggressively developing the best backgammon app ever made. We have had 99.9% up time in the last year and only had a handful of critical bugs. Usually it can be resolved by updating to the newest version of the app.
Anyway, our app is improving week by week. Is it possible that you could revise your app rating from 2 to at least 4 stars, perhaps even 5?
Shortly we will release "Play vs AI" which will be awesome.
