Get ready to rethink everything you know about DJ apps! I love this app so much. I’m a host of a family-friendly comedy show on a nonprofit streaming radio station. I don’t have access to a standard computer or laptop, just my iPad. I get a headache trying to figure Izicast out. I need something that just works. Something easy to figure out, user friendly. Backpack is that app! It’s incredible all the things it can do. I can mix my show live as I’m broadcasting! And the developer, Ed, is super friendly, fast to respond, and patient with people like me, who like to ask a lot of questions, lol. I can’t speak highly enough of this app. So intuitive…every day I learn more and more about how powerful this thing is! Also fantastically easy to pre-record shows to be streamed later. I’ve used this app’s predecessor BossJock for several years and have always enjoyed it. Rather than using it as it was intended, I use it as a programmable music and “drop-in” source for a/v work at a low (no) budget corporate meeting I attend monthly. I have the usual assortment of horns, bells and whistles installed plus several bits of pop music (think “Are you ready to rumble...”). The BossJock app performed flawlessly. Yesterday I tried to upload a bit to Dropbox and discovered the functionality was outdated. What to do? I found Backpack Studio! Cool! Does even more of all the good things BJ used to do and has an expandable number of pads for all my silly sounds. If this thing gets any better, I might have to start my own podcast. Many thanks, and ten bucks to the developer.

I love the Backpack Studio Application. It is fun, to use. it is very accessible, and a very clean interface, and I love it. What I’d like to see in the settings, area, the ability, to not only delete the account that you’ve created with backpack studio, using your Apple ID along with the sign out option as well. it is 100% accessible and I totally love it and it’s fun to use for interviews, live streaming, and making recordings. Thank you so much. I strongly recommend fixing the bug that causes backpack to crash when trying to live stream to a Internet based radio stations, external server.
Great App for Podcasters, but…

This is a great app for podcasters and has a lot of great tweakable settings for your audio and soundboard. The only issue I’ve run into lately is using an interface with more than just 2 in/2 out. For example, the vocaster two has multiple ins and outs, and even with dual mono mic setting enabled, I still only get audio through one side of the audio file. Additionally, if I turn this setting off, I get some kind of audio interference. If it could be updated to handle interfaces with more than 2 in/2 out, this would be the perfect app for podcasters. The only other recommendation I would have would be perhaps an in app purchase for multi-track output for further editing of the audio once recording has been completed.
