Badger SQL is a free, fast, private SQL client for Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database, built for iPhone and iPad. WRITE SQL WITH YOUR VOICE Tap the microphone and say your query. Badger SQL turns speech into real T-SQL: "select count star from orders where status equals quote shipped quote" becomes SELECT COUNT(*) FROM orders WHERE status = 'shipped'. • Knows your tables and columns, so "sales order header" becomes SalesOrderHeader • Understands T-SQL the way people say it: "at at tran count", "get date", "row number", "begin tran" • Can't remember the syntax? Say what you mean: "pause 5 seconds", "print immediately", "show tables", "first ten rows from orders" • Teach it your own phrases: say "who is active", get EXEC sp_WhoIsActive • Recognition runs entirely on your device. Your voice never leaves it. KEEPS WORKING WHEN YOU SWITCH APPS Start a long query, then answer a message or check another app. Badger SQL keeps going. • Long-running queries continue in the background, with live progress from iOS (iOS 26 and later) • Come back and your tabs are still connected: dropped connections reconnect automatically to the same database • If a connection drops while a transaction is open, Badger SQL tells you plainly that SQL Server rolled it back, so you never assume uncommitted work was saved CONNECT ANYWHERE • Azure SQL Database and SQL Server 2012 or later, in the cloud or on your network • Always-encrypted connections, including TDS 8.0 strict encryption • SQL authentication or Microsoft Entra ID: interactive sign-in, device code, service principal or access token • Paste a connection string from the Azure portal and it fills in the details FIX THE FIREWALL IN ONE TAP Blocked by an Azure SQL firewall? Badger SQL shows your IP and adds a firewall rule for it, then retries until you're connected. It keeps track of the rules it created so you can remove them later. WRITE SQL FASTER • Syntax highlighting built for T-SQL • Autocomplete for databases, schemas, tables, views, procedures, columns and aliases • A suggestion bar above the keyboard, or a pop-up list with a hardware keyboard • Run the whole script, the selection, or just the statement under the cursor; GO batch separators work like in SSMS • Save queries, browse your history, and open .sql files WATCH IT RUN • The GO batch that's running is highlighted in the editor as your script moves along • Turn on statement tracking for a connection to follow the exact statement as it runs, even inside loops and WAITFOR (needs VIEW SERVER STATE) • A live timer ticks while the query runs BROWSE AND WORK IN TABS • Object browser for tables, views, stored procedures and functions, with column types and primary keys • Multiple tabs, each with its own connection and database • Switch databases from the object browser • Disconnect a connection or a single tab without losing your SQL RESULTS YOU CAN USE • Fast, scrollable results grid with multiple result sets and messages • Sort by any column, and open any row as a record, swiping between records • Copy or share results as CSV, tab-separated, plain text, Markdown, JSON or SQL INSERT statements • Copy a single row, a column, or a whole result set NEVER FORGET A TRANSACTION The open-transaction count is always on screen and updates while your script runs, as soon as SQL Server reports a transaction beginning or ending. While one is open the tab turns orange, with one-tap Commit and Roll Back. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No accounts, no analytics, no tracking. We never see your data. • Passwords stay in the iOS Keychain. Optionally sync connections between your devices with end-to-end encrypted iCloud Keychain. • Face ID or passcode lock protects every launch.
