Covers a Lot of Ground

Good companion app for my Beoplay Portal for Xbox that is quite intuitive considering everything it’s tasked for handling. Looks like it allows for updates to the device itself, and with that said I’d like to suggest some feasible updates:

1) Increase own voice volume. Would keep me from shouting over others in game chat. Ideally like my mic monitoring slightly louder than my own ears pick up.
2) Modify tapping controls to allow for skip forward and backward in addition to the already available pause in Bluetooth mode. If the pads can recognize two taps, they should be able to handle three. Not having music controls hurts, but two taps pause, three taps of the left ear to go back, three taps of the right ear for skip, that would be an excellent upgrade. 👍

Very disappointed

I bought these for the Xbox, my overall experience is not great. First I will highlight the good, the directional sound of the headset is by far the best I’ve ever had, sound rangers amazing, quality of headset amazing. Strong sturdy, comfortable. Now the negative the microphone built in is absolutely trash, sounds like I’m in a tin can, they need to incorporate an actual boom mic. The app is garbage trying to connect to the Xbox fails more times then it connects. I’ve tried re connecting, re pairing, I’ve done it all. Im an avid gamer and techy,the app pairing system is garbage, they need a dongle. I’ve tried numerous headsets from Astro, to turtle beach, to rigs, to lucid sound. I will say if they can correct the mic and pairing. Issues this headset would be un touchable on console. It has great potential but the bad out weigh the good. I will be continuing to use my lucid sounds until these are corrected, and the headset will just be a back up. If they fix the above issues the 2 goes to a 4.

I’ve already contacted you, your support team failed to tell me anything other than to reconnect. So I’ve gone that route, I’ve reached out and got no real help. My review stands.

Lots more to be desired from such a premium brand

For the past two years I have struggled using this app for the following reasons. I purchased Beoplay E8 2.0 and shortly after Beoplay E8 3.0 and have had unreliable connectivity with my IPhone 12 Pro regardless of the software version with both headset units. In good faith I have communicated back and forth with support on numerous occasions brining the issue to their attention with screenshots, while being under the impression that something has being done to prevent other fellow B&O clients from this frustration. To this day I will get a random error message that my phone can no longer connect to Beoplay E8 and I have to reinstall and re-pair again. And again. And again.
What broke the camel’s back is that my hardly used Beoplay E8 2.0 stop working and I attempted to contact support well within the warranty period on three separate occasion throughout one month as I had done previously through the app-got crickets, no response. Finally I DM-ed B&O Instagram account privately and got an instant response that based on the proof of purchase my product was no longer supported.
B&O makes amazing products, can’t say the same about their app.
