The Bar Harbor Mobile App is a free mobile decision-support tool that gives you the ability to aggregate all of your financial accounts, including accounts from other financial institutions, into a single, up-to-the-minute view so you can stay organized and make smarter financial decisions. It is fast, secure and makes life easier by empowering you with the tools you need to manage your personal finances.

Multi-Account Aggregation: View all of your financial information (balances, transaction history, merchant spending averages) in one place for on-the-go organization.

Alerts & Notifications: Set alerts for low funds and be notified about upcoming bills.

Add Tags, Notes, Images & Geo-Information: By enhancing transactions with custom tags, notes or photos of a receipt or check, you have the ability to stay organized and find exactly what you’re looking for when searching through your finances.

Contact: Locate ATMs or branches and contact Bar Harbor Bank and Trust customer service directly from the app.

The app utilizes the same bank-level security that protects you when you’re on Internet Banking. The app also features a unique 4-digit passcode setting that prevents unauthorized access.

To use the Bar Harbor Mobile App, you must be enrolled as an Bar Harbor Bank and Trust Internet Banking user. If you currently use our Internet Banking, simply download the app, launch it, and login with the same Internet Banking credentials. After you successfully login to the app, your accounts and transactions will begin updating.

Bill pay date selection

My suggestion for improvement is in the bill pay function. I almost always want to select a custom date for payment. It takes 3-4 clicks to get to the calendar to pick a date. All other bill pay sites I use give the calendar date selection on the same first page of bill pay options with no extra clicks. Please make this function quicker and more consistent with other bill pay sites. Thanks

Biggest Messiest Bank App Ever

Note to BHBT - Why? You have changed this app about 3 times in 5 years. It is confusing and you make the process of getting into it easier for a hacker than for a user! I wanted to change my password on my full app today and it kept telling me over and over they didn’t match! I might have confused the first try, but redoing it it kept saying they didn’t match. STOP IT!! THEY DID MATCH! I just did the same thing with three other banks to make them more secure. No problems at all. I saved your ugly app until last KNOWING it would give me trouble. Yes, I can call you DURING BANKING HOURS which are worse than hours DOCTORS KEEP!!! STOP IT!! Please. Very long time customer not at all satisfied. In your attempts to be secure, you are constantly making it so secure only a hacker could get in! Seriously. You are the worst app out of all my banks. Relax please so the customer can get in as easy as a hacker? Hackers gonna hack. There IS no foolproof way you can stop them. At least make it so the customers aren’t so frustrated trying to break into their own accounts!!!!

Used to love this

I used to love this app, but I’m super frustrated with it now. For months I haven’t been able to made deposits via the app. It takes the front picture of the check fine, but freezes on the reverse side. The , nothing happens. It’s been like this for months. I’ve made 3 phone calls. The first person suggested I go into the bank to make my deposits. Not very helpful. YES, I KNOW I CAN GO INTO THE BANK, the point is, I’d rather not. Second call resulted in the person telling me she hadn’t heard of this before and suggested I quit the app and reinstall it. I had already done that, did it again, same result. Third time I called the person was very nice said she’d get back to me. That was about a month ago. No call back. So I’ve rekindled my relationship with Bank of America, who’s app works perfectly. The nearest BOA is a 40 minute ride, so it’s not convenient, but their online banking works.
