BatchSmith: Bacon Curing

Cure Calculator & Tracker

Free · In‑App Purchases

Ever wanted to make your own bacon? BatchSmith makes it easy. Tell it how much pork belly you have and it works out exactly what goes in the cure. No guessing, no converting recipes in your head, no wondering if you got it right. Weigh, mix, done. Then it tracks your batch from day one. How many days in, what to do next, when it is ready to smoke and slice. Start a cure, go live your life, and BatchSmith remembers where things stand. There is a whole library of flavors built in, from a classic maple pepper to bourbon maple to a Korean gochujang glaze, and you can tweak any of them or build your own signature cure and save it. When you are ready to go beyond bacon, BatchSmith goes with you. Dry-cured whole muscle like coppa, lonzino, and bresaola gets its own tools: the right Cure #2 amounts for your cut, a drying tracker that watches weight loss instead of a calendar, and a loss curve so you can see exactly how your project is coming along. Pick a wood, dial in your smoke, log your notes, and build a record of every batch you make so the good ones are repeatable. The calculator and all the safety info are free, always. BatchSmith Pro is a one-time unlock, no subscription, that opens up unlimited batches, custom bacon recipes, and every dry-cured charcuterie recipe built in. No account, no tracking. Your batches live on your device and your own iCloud, and that is it. Fire up the smoker. Your best batch is ahead of you.

Ratings & Reviews

  • This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.

Rest & slice now falls the day after the smoke, matching the overnight rest it calls for. Both used to land on the same day. If a cure runs past its target, the steps after it no longer show stale dates. The original target stays visible so you can see how far over you are. The free one-batch limit now shows before you tap, not after.
