USE IT - Every maneuver is also a diagnostic test. More than 1,500 findings across 579 diagnoses, each with a plain rating of how much a positive or negative result helps to rule the diagnosis in or out — or a plain statement that the evidence isn't there. - Every rating comes from the published literature — likelihood ratios with their confidence intervals, sensitivity and specificity where the study reports them, and the citation. Never an invented number. - Start from a chief complaint or a diagnosis and see which bedside tests are worth doing.
