I deleted Instagram and started using this instead. Every morning on my walk, I play one of the recọmmended episodes. It’s crazy how much I’ve learned in just 10 days. From productivity science to Stoicism to current tech trends. The content feels high quality and surprisingly tailored to my interests.

Downloaded the app, ran the free trail, reviewed the app. It does have a cool option to create your own podcast on anything you would like to know about, complete with customization of your podcast hosts. That is a pretty cool feature which definitely separates itself from other book summary apps, however it was not necessarily enough for me to subscribe. BeFreed, true to their word, in regard to helping people obtain knowledge in this fast paced tech world, ended up giving me a free account. Pretty cool, obviously. I will continue to use the app and vet it some more, and report back (it is the least I can do for them). As of now i have one critique, and this might be indicative of my phone, but when I choose to read as opposed to listening, the right side margin is cutting of sentences in the paragraph. Development should probably expand the container holding content. That’s all for now.

Great concept but the app itself and browser version is just usable. I like all the features but all I want to be able to do sometimes is simply read text and highlight. I am not able to simply highlight in the app which is frustrating. In headway you are able to highlight even when listening which is a feature I am missing in this app. I like the more in depth summaries and the ability to choose how in-depth I want to go. But usability of the app makes it frustrating and is keeping me from subscribing for longer.

I love that it doesn’t just give you 2-minute summaries. You can choose deep dives that are 30–40 mins long. The structure, the examples, and the storytelling all feel top-tier. I finally feel like I’m learning things that stick with me, instead of quick takes I forget an hour later.
