Bellows is a native Mac app with 41 developer tools in it: format JSON, decode a JWT, hash a string, test a regex, diff two files, convert a timestamp — without pasting any of it into a website.
That last part is the point. Every online formatter and JWT decoder asks you to paste your data into someone else's page. Half the time that data is a production token, a customer record, or an API response you would not email to a stranger. This app does the same job locally.
It ships with no network entitlement, which means macOS itself blocks it from making a connection. Not a promise in a privacy policy — a permission the app does not have, and one you can verify with a single Terminal command.
WHAT'S INSIDE
• Formatters — JSON (prettify, minify, validate), XML, SQL, and a live Markdown preview.
• Encoders — Base64, URL percent-encoding, HTML entities, and a JWT decoder that shows you when the token expired in plain language instead of a raw epoch number.
• Generators — UUIDs in bulk, MD5/SHA-1/SHA-256/SHA-512 hashes, strong passwords, and Lorem Ipsum.
• Converters — Unix timestamps, ISO 8601 and time zones, number bases, colours (HEX, RGB, HSL, 8-digit hex and rgba), and byte sizes that finally tell you the difference between KB and KiB.
• Text tools — a regex tester with named capture groups, a line-by-line diff, case conversion, sorting and deduplication, statistics, and find-and-replace with real fields instead of a syntax you have to remember.

• Browse by category — tools are grouped by what they do, so you can find one without already knowing its name.
