BigRec Button is a focused musical take recorder designed to preserve performances by older musicians at home and during elder-care visits.
Conventional recorders can turn a spontaneous piano moment into menus, playback, and file management. BigRec Button deliberately removes that friction: tap the one large button to begin DryRecord, then tap it again to stop and send. There is no playback screen to second-guess the performance.
Every take is finalized locally, placed in a durable outbox, and uploaded to the private CodeCrafty Sound Shed archive. Interrupted uploads resume automatically, and delivery is considered complete only after server verification.
DryRecord captures efficient mono AAC audio. Thirty-minute recovery segments protect long sessions, and a two-hour limit automatically saves a forgotten recording.
A one-time access word limits uploads to trusted family members and visitors. BigRec Button has no ads, analytics, subscriptions, or social features.
