Neat tech demo, but not much to do

Since this is a free tech demo, once cannot expect it to be packed with numerous features, so I’m simply reviewing it on what it is…

The app does a fairly good job at simulating the gravitational lensing effect of a blackhole, by letting the user drag to rotate. That said, the effect is fairly glitchy, often having stray lines that break the fluidity effect. It’s also not possible to rotate the simulation beyond the poles of the blackhole, leading to jittery rotational glitching. The rotation of the accretion disk looks good, but it doesn’t account for the gravitation effects on the brightness of the glowing differing by the direction of rotation. It would also be nice to allow the user to scale the blackhole to see the lensing effect across more of the screen.

Black Hole, singular.

It’s interesting for about 30 seconds. It models gravitational lensing but you can’t zoom in at all. You can change viewing angle/aspect but it doesn’t really do anything. It did help me understand how the light from the accretion disk bends up over the poles to give it the “ring” look like “Interstellar”.
But it doesn’t explain that. I’ve just sort of figured it out over time.

Sorry but boring

all you do is watch it☹️ but I love how it is real but you can’t zoom in too. I wish you could add planets to it🪐 too. So it would get sucked in to the black hole it would be cool to see it but it would go slow and disappear☹️
