Bleacher Notes

Score the game by talking

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Score your kid's baseball and softball games by saying the play out loud. Full season stats, team schedules, lineups, and tournament brackets. Bleacher Notes is a scorekeeping app you talk to. Say the play out loud, "ground ball to short, runner scores from third, out at first," and it keeps the scorebook. No menus, no tapping through five screens while the next pitch is thrown. It was built for the volunteer parent in the stands who came to watch their kid, not their phone. WHAT IT DOES Say what happened. A baseball/softball-specific parser turns your words into a real at-bat: the play, where it went, every runner, the count. Scoring rules then compute the box score. The stats are calculated by scoring logic, Bleacher Notes understand your sentences, the scorebook does the math. Anything ambiguous gets flagged for a one-tap fix instead of being silently wrong. FREE, AND NOT CRIPPLED Everything below costs nothing, with no trial and no card: • Voice scoring and manual scoring • Full season stats: average, on-base, slugging, OPS, hit charts • Live play-by-play and box score • Teams, rosters, and your team logo • Per-game lineups: batting order and field positions • Lineup exchange by QR code or 4-digit code • Shared team schedule, reminders, and team messaging • Follow your player across every team they play on • Live video from any phone, unlimited • Watching live: free and unlimited, for anyone with the link • Making and sharing clips • One-way CSV import, so career stats come with you RUN A TOURNAMENT, FREE Build a bracket: single elimination, double elimination, round robin, pool play into a bracket, or a home run derby. Publish a schedule across every field. Standings, run differential, and pool tiebreakers recompute the moment a game goes final. Teams and families get one link that opens in any phone browser. No app, no account, nothing for grandparents to download. Because parents are already scoring from the stands, the bracket updates itself. Nobody scored a game? Type the final and it advances anyway. Scoring is the upgrade, never the requirement. Leagues work the same way: season schedule, standings, and playoffs in one place. DUGOUT INSIGHTS (OPTIONAL) AI reads of what is actually happening, in plain sentences rather than charts. Parents: hitting and pitching reads for your own player, on any team they play, plus post-game analysis and a season recap. Coaches: the same for every player on the roster, plus team matchup intelligence between innings, pitcher fatigue, and lineup advantage. BLEACHER PASS (OPTIONAL) Broadcasting is free. Watching live is free and unlimited. Clips are free to make and share. The Pass is for afterwards, full replays of finished games, kept all season. COMMON QUESTIONS Do I need to be good at scorekeeping? No. If you can describe the play to the person next to you, you can score the game. Does it work for softball? Yes, youth baseball and softball, rec through travel and school ball. Is scoring really free? Yes, including full season stats. We do not put your kid's stats behind a subscription. Do I need an account to watch? No. Public event pages and streams open in any browser. PRICING Scorekeeping, stats, team tools, and tournament hosting: free, forever.
