blint

Entertainment

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

blint lets you watch your YouTube subscriptions hands-free. It was built for blind and low-vision viewers, and the accessibility path is the product rather than an afterthought. Every control is labelled for VoiceOver, every action has a hint, and the app is designed to be used with the screen off. HEAR BEFORE YOU WATCH Move to a video and blint speaks the channel, the title, how long it runs and when it was published — before playback starts. You know what you're about to watch without reading anything. MOVE WITHOUT LOOKING Swipe left and right to move between videos, up and down to change channel. The same moves work from a hardware media button or an arrow key, so a headphone remote or a keyboard is enough to run the whole app. BUILT AROUND VOICEOVER blint uses your VoiceOver voice and speech settings. There is no separate "accessibility mode" to enable, because there is no other mode. YOUR SUBSCRIPTIONS, NOTHING ELSE Sign in with Google and blint shows the channels you already follow. No recommendation feed, no autoplaying suggestions, no infinite scroll. You can subscribe to a new channel or unsubscribe from one at any time. SIX LANGUAGES English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese and Portuguese. PRIVATE BY DESIGN blint has no servers. Your Google sign-in stays in the iOS Keychain on your device, and which videos you've watched stays on your device. Nothing is sent to us, because there is no "us" to send it to. blint contains no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. blint is an independent app and is not endorsed by or affiliated with YouTube or Google. Videos play in YouTube's official embedded player.
