The Parent dashboard App gives parents and guardians the flexibility to enforce their own filtering policies onto their children's Chromebook.

A school's IT administrator that already uses Blocksi filtering (Education everywhere) can give filtering permissions to parents, so their students' Chromebooks are protected even when they are browsing off the school grounds.

Parents are able to control access time and enforce time restrictions on addictive sites and content irrelevant to homework. The black and white list to customize which sites are allowed/blocked and web history and analytics to analyze browsing trends

This dashboard puts the Parent, Guardian and Director of Technology on the same page and assures 1:1 Chromebook initiative acceptance by both parents, teacher and students.

- 79 web filtering categories, 45 million rated websites and over 2 billion rated web pages

Ineffective: did not block when in bedtime mode

The Blocksi web interface and the app are not intuitive and the help section is very sparse. My DD was often on her Chromebook during bedtime restriction times. She was still able to access google sites including her classroom portal. We ended up revoking consent for her to bring her Chromebook home after she got it out of a locked closet in the middle of the night, twice. The bedtime feature was pretty useless. Not impressed.
