Commit to Bloom

I can’t say enough good things about Bloom CBT. I’ve been struggling with intense panic attacks/ panic disorder for several years as well as depression to the point where I have not been able to drive my own car. Like many, 2020 brought out more of these symptoms and it was difficult to cope. I did not have immediate access to a good psychologist and so I started drowning in work, family, marriage and health problems.

That said. I started using Bloom and it has greatly helped in all aspects of my life. I’ve been able to start my day with CBT and I also write my takeaways from Bloom in a journal. I use this time in the mornings to set my intentions for the day and start on a positive note. The writing exercises have helped me realize my thought patterns and how I can make small adjustments in many areas. Also, the breathing exercises have helped me to re-learn how to breath properly and remind myself to breath when experiencing any anxious thoughts/feelings. After I finish my Bloom session, I exercise via bike riding or something else. A combination of cardio and strength training.

If you are drowning in depression, anxiety and daily pressure, use Bloom each day to stay positive and work on yourself. Put in the work and watch how much progress you can make in a short time.

Incredible App for Self-Therapy/CBT

I have suffered anxiety my entire life. I have always felt controlled by it. I have leaned on bad habits. I have gone to in person therapy before. Over time, I realized how journaling has helped me work on these awful habits and overcoming my anxiety. And while I have touched on CBT in past therapy, there wasn’t something I could find that helped bring the two together that didn’t cost an arm and a leg with in person therapy! And then I found this app... wow has this been a game changer. I LOVE the CBT sessions and combination of journaling and learning and actively working on your specific situations. This app takes therapy to a whole new level. As someone who embraces mindfulness and meditation, it’s not solely focused on that (even though it helps and is part of it!). It helps you to embrace your own situations and emotions. It truly is a wonderful app. I would highly recommend to anyone who is willing to embrace a new way of therapy. Also love that you can set gentle nudges or reminders to check in. That has honestly helped me to remind myself to keep at it! Thanks bloom for making me feel like I can tackle anything!

The prescriptions and resolutions are just so wrong, white, and male

The rigid inflexibility and astonishing privilege of the sessions is just maddening. “You’re stressed because you’re uncertain. “ Nope, I know exactly what’s going on, I need tips on how to stop doing it. “You’ve gotten through this before, and everything was just fine. You can do it again. “I mean, no? I have not, in fact, gotten through this situation before— at least not in a healthy way. That’s why I’m turning to an app for help... guidance... not you-go-girl nonsense. And my favorite: “You get stress from work because you’ve worked there for a while, gotten a promotion, and now you’re in the throes of imposter syndrome.” LOL, white boy, no. I’m not getting promotions just because I’ve clocked in a few years work. That’s not how capitalism works under a patriarchy, and that’s not The Source of Work Stress. Like, I wouldn’t accept a therapist steam rolling over all of my concerns and prescribing a problem that I’m not feeling in real life, but with this app, I can’t stop and correct course...or at least skip the blabbing and platitudes. Can we have a fast forward button, at least? As it is, I frequently come out of these sessions feeling more anxious and irritated than when I started. Appreciate the journaling prompts, though. They give me an opportunity to correct the inaccurate prescription and devise my own solution. So, yay, I guess. 😐
