potential but the on boarding process is so irritating I deleted the app
I understand that in your Instagram bio, it says the app is invite only but with the constant ads I was seeing I never clicked on the bio. I only watched the videos that would pop up on my Instagram pushing this app. Which, in all those videos they never said it was invite only. So I downloaded the app I made entire profile. Spent the time doing that just for at the end them to say I have to wait to be approved because it’s invite only. That is so ridiculous. It should be said before I make the profile!! and on top of that it should not take more than one hour to either get approved or denied. It’s ridiculous. I will not be using the app for this reason.
Not what I expected
Honestly I was so excited for a new app that was different then hinge and seemed less saturated then Raya. Unfortunately almost all the men on there are behind almost a pay wall where they “only except roses” (which you have to pay for) which seems to be a version of “rose jail” on hinge. Seems like highly ‘liked’ men are only set to receive roses. The men on here are similar to the non famous ones on raya. Same concept of raya too with the “you’ve exceeded your skips for the day”. Overall disappointing and not what I was expecting after being invited to join. Unless you are on the cover of vogue, don’t expect to find a match on this app :).
Don’t waste your time
First of all, it’s super unsafe and creepy that they require you to select your favorite local spots - no one wants to be stalked when they’re going to get coffee. Second- they require you to refer SEVERAL friends in order to apply and then they accept your friends and not you lol. I totally get that they’re trying to grow their user base, but it’s pretty messed up to accept referrals before the person who actually applied in the first place. And for the record - we’re all equally attractive and educated. Good concept but hard pass. I’ll stick to Raya where I get plenty of great matches.
