Boardgrid runs a boarding facility off a unit × night grid instead of a booking calendar.
A calendar answers “what is happening on Tuesday”. Your question is “what can I sell”, forty times a day — and that is a different picture: runs, suites and cat condos down the side, nights across the top, one bar per stay. Occupied, free and out of service for the whole site at once.
• Priced by the animal, not by the run. The nightly rate comes from a weight band crossed with the room type, and the rate card is yours to edit.
• Cats and dogs are different rooms. Species belongs to the unit as well as the guest, so a cat is never offered a dog run.
• A stay that crosses room types is ONE booking. A busy week often has no single run free for all seven nights while having room on every individual night. Boardgrid builds the chain and holds it as one booking with two segments: one invoice, one check-in, one record.
AT THE DESK
• Arrivals, departures and who is in house, on the first screen of the shift.
• Check-in that weighs the animal and says out loud which rate band it lands in, before the invoice exists.
• An invoice derived from the diary and the rate card — which refuses to charge while any night is unpriced, and shows a deposit as a credit rather than deducting it quietly.
• On iPad, a three-column front desk: navigation, grid and the selected stay side by side.
COMPLIANCE
• Vaccination expiry, incomplete intake, incidents and the staffing ratio your licence sets, rolled up on one screen.
• An inspection pack you can produce on the spot and hand over. It is never behind a paywall.
YOUR DATA
• Everything lives on the device and syncs through your own iCloud. No account, no server, no sign-up.
