***Winner of the Academics' Choice Smart Media Award***
***Rated 4.9/5 stars by Best Apps for Kids***

Simple and fun games help kids build their sight word reading and spelling skills.

WHY SIGHT WORDS?
Sight Words can be a stumbling block for early readers because so many of them cannot easily be sounded out or illustrated. The Bob Books Reading Magic - Sight Words app was developed to help young readers gain sight word vocabulary through engaging, interactive games that capture a child’s imagination.

WHY BOB BOOKS?
Bob Books Reading Magic - Sight Words follows the same method and principles as the #1 best-selling Bob Books series of early readers. Bob Books were created to lead children to the ah-ha moment when letters first turn into words.

Our Sight Words app continues Bob Books’ commitment to bringing children a satisfying, successful first reading experience, with engaging games, easy first steps, wholesome values, authentic hand-drawn illustrations, and beautiful full-color animations.

FEATURES
Four different games to practice reading and spelling 30 of the most common Kindergarten level sight words - plus animated rewards for each new sight word learned to engage children just starting to read.

Game 1: Drag letters to spell a sight word
Game 2: Trace each letter in a sight word
Game 3: Spin letter dials to complete a sight word
Game 4: Read and drag sight words to complete a sentence.

Bob Books Reading Magic - Sight Words will show your child how to:
-Make the connection between letter shapes, words and sounds in sight words.
-Read and sound out sight words.
-Spell the sight words they’ve read.

By slowly introducing new sight words in context through playing a game, and by using consistency, repetition and stories that fit short attention spans, your child will quickly find his or her own ah-ha moment. This is the reading magic of Bob Books. Soon your child will join millions of children who can proudly say, “I read the whole book!”®

Parents and educators rave about Bob Books apps:

Didi R. ,

My granddaughter loves this app!

We recently purchased this app for our upcoming trips. I try to download games and movies to keep my granddaughter busy on long plane rides and wanted an educational app. She is just starting to learn to read and has the Bob Books reading sets - this app is perfect for her! It kept her busy during the plane ride and I was so proud of her when she was able to create words! I'd highly recommend this app to anyone looking for an app for a child learning to read!

Wow! Terrific!

This app has great Bob Books stories and illustrations, and even more ways to play than the first two apps. It adds a really nice tracing feature, drag-and-drop letters and words, and a fun letter spinner.

Nicely done. Plus you can get this as part of a bundle and save a couple of bucks. Love that.

Misleading R sound taught - R sound is NOT “er”

Please correct spoken/audible “R” sound to “rrrrrrr”. Also do not replace with “ruh” as this is also incorrect. R sound is simply “rrrr”.

We do not say — er-obot; we say robot
We do not say — er-ain; we say rain
We do not say — er-un; we say run
We do not say — er-at; we say rat
We do not say — er-at; we say rat
We do not say — t-er-ee; we say tree
We do not say — er-aft; we say raft
We do not say — er-ead; we say read

Please introduce young minds to accurate sounds, as although it may seem like a nominal distinction, it is wrong (and confusing and frustrating for learners)… or should I say…

Please intERoduce young minds to accuERate sounds, as it is wERong (and confusing foER leaERneERs)…

See my point?

It is only when R’s are met with vowels that we hear “er” sounds forming.
