This app has been accurate most of last year 2017 however, most of this year has been incorrect. For example, right now ( or 20mins ago) the app said it was a 25min wait in the ready lane. When i get to the boarder (15mins eta) the line looks to be 1 hour from my experience. I look at the app and it says 12mins! I just checked again, same thing and theres no way this line would be that short. Cmon boarder traffic app team whats going on? Im considering about trying other apps or just listening to the radio.

We apologize for any data you found inaccurate. We are constantly working to improve our service but Accuwait will never be 100% perfect as there are many factors that change the times quickly. We actually recommend that you rely on our videos more than AccuWait- your eyes looking at our videos will give you more information in two seconds than any artificial intelligence could ever do.

Great app-Use the cameras

I live in Tijuana but cross the border 3-5 times a week. I have a Global Entry Card and use the Sentri Lanes. My house is pretty much equidistant from San Ysidro and Otay. On days I need to cross, I check the app before leaving home. Usually Otay has the lower crossing wait time. However, Otay wait time only goes to 19 minutes plus. It can be longer. The golden part of this app is the cameras. Let’s face it, wait time has a lot of variables. For instance, how many gates are open at any point in time. CBP will flex to open up to 4 Sentri lanes at Otay, or may only be using one. Then there is the question of how many cars are coming in at what rate. Add to that your drive time to the border and what can change. And lastly, what is time between app’s estimated wait time refresh. Cameras give me a better feel for wait time. By the way, the cameras help me know which is better route to use to get there. I have two main routes to Otay. But if TJ police shut down the left turn from Belles Artes, then you need to go further East to make a uturn. My other route avoids that. Camera 3 shows the intersection. I LOVE this app. CBP app is useless.

Not always accurate

Yeah, I have been using this app for eight years or more, and I can tell you in the last couple of years that has gotten worse in terms of accuracy. Sometimes I use a primarily for Cidro century Lane crossings. I also use it for entering Mexico at San Ysidro border. The times are not always very accurate. It’ll say 23 minutes and yet it’ll be back to Padre Kino all the way to the southern bridge by the general hospital and the soccer stadium. yeah the videos often don’t give a fair representation of what is actually happening. The timestamps are deceiving. Not sure how much longer I’m going to stay a member on this application since it doesn’t seem to be working to point of providing any benefit.

Now more than ever, it’s important to do what we’ve always encouraged users to do – If you’re familiar with the border, always rely on the videos themselves. Our wait times are designed more for tourists and other travelers who can’t determine wait times by viewing the videos.

I use this app all the time and overall it’s pretty good. Recently I logged out on accident but when I tried to log back in my account was locked because of “to many failed attempts” even though all my login info was correct. I tried to contact customer service and was sent to a page where you put your info in and they will email you to help but I haven’t gotten an actual response, instead I get an email in my spam folder saying my request was “unable to be delivered” yet they have no problem emailing me every month when it’s time to charge for the premium plan.

Hi Anna! We answer every single email...please try again. You would get that screen if you typically login with Facebook or Google and tried to use the email/password login.
