BOS:311, formerly known as Citizens Connect, is a cutting-edge, full-featured tool for enabling Boston's residents to improve their neighborhoods by reporting issues such as potholes and graffiti.
The reports are automatically fed into the City’s work order system so that they can be tracked and assigned to service teams. Users can follow the status of their request, by using a unique tracking number for each case.
Residents can also share their reports with others, or tweet about them with their friends.

Bos 311 app and voiceover
I realize that as a voiceover user which is an accessibility feature for iOS: I would like to see that in the, “recent reports“ tab that all of the reports that were submitted are made accessible. When I go to click on one of the submitted reports, voiceover is not reading it right away.
Good app, poor response
Not sure why Boston has a 311 app. The service is useless! The city does not care about resident parking. We have multiple cars parked on our street during TD Garden events and the only response to reports we receive from 311 is “case closed” or “duplicate request” My favorite is when they respond 48 hours later and tell you “the area is clear” ya think? The illegal parkers left two days ago.
I don’t think these people actually work.
Needless to say I’ve deleted the app and just call the tow companies myself.
The App itself works well and is easy to use and I have not run into any software malfunctions.
A lot of people use this App to report absolute nonsense and it is absolutely hilarious especially when BTD or etc responds there was no violation or a vehicle is in compliance. I think the App is great for reporting potholes and needle clean ups.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
