BRAW Toolbox allows you to import Blackmagic RAW files directly into Final Cut Pro without transcoding. No more waiting. No more transcoding. No more massive ProRes files. Save hours of time, and terabytes of storage! The BRAW Toolbox Workflow Extension allows you to prepare all of your footage prior to import. You can easily and quickly change all the RAW parameters, and copy and paste settings from different BRAW clips. You can even save and restore Presets that contain specific parameters, saving time for example, if you always use the same Gamut & Gamma. Once imported into Final Cut Pro, you can still modify the RAW parameters at any time. You can even keyframe the ISO, Exposure, Color Temp, Tint and Custom Gamma Controls! BRAW Toolbox comes with a Metadata View that allows you to view every piece of BRAW Metadata directly within the Final Cut Pro Inspector. There are automatic Decode Quality options for both HD and UltraHD projects, and you can also work at a low Decode Quality, then apply a "Global Setting" to force Full Quality prior to exporting - meaning you never have to worry about creating proxies for performance. BRAW Toolbox gives you complete freedom and flexibility. You can also use the Workflow Extension to send your project/timeline to DaVinci Resolve for grading - all using BRAW files directly from the camera! Save your money and just use DR. Its much easier

Although I appreciate the developer for making a app to convert braw files for FCP, it still didn't work for me. I was able to initally convert the 101 files for my project but the render speeds were horrendous and too many other problems/glitches that I had with the converted files just made it extremely hard to work with. YOU CAN DOWNLOAD DAVINCI RESOLVE FOR FREE AND JUST COPY/PASTE ALL YOUR BRAW FILES INTO THE TIMELINE AND EXPORT. It can export all the files individually also so no need to worry about it being one big video. Ended up working so much faster with the files converted straight from Davinci Resolve with no problems or glitches. Also could have saved me 80 bucks

A lot of the time we get emails with people misunderstanding things, and there's normally a simple fix. Feel free to reach out if you want help problem-solving! FWIW - we also use BRAW Toolbox internally for our own Final Cut Pro editing, and don't have any problems on our M1 MacBook Pro's.

I purchased BRAW Toolkit to try to simplify and speed up my BRAW to FCPX workflow but this isn't the answer.It's true that you can save some hard drive space by skipping the proxy stage. But everything else becomes more complicated.BRAW files are imported to FCPX through an import process which handles them in a strange way, rather than just reading them natively. As a result, I'm constantly re-linking files that haven't changed paths or dealing with security-scoped issues. Sometimes I just get errors saying BRAW Toolkit couldn't load my file. And for all of these errors there are solutions that use up more of my time than this was supposed to save.I'm not blaming them for failing to have BRAW files behave as native in FCPX—I know that's not in their power. And I give the developer(s) credit for trying to solve an issue of need, but BRAW Toolkit is convoluted and I'm going back to my previous DR to FCP to DR roundtripping, with less money now in my pocket.

Have you tried contacting us via email? Have you granted sandbox access to the drive containing your BRAW footage? Check out the “Collaboration” page on the help website. Yes, it works a bit differently, but once you understand how it works - it’s very easy to use, and actually gives you even more control than DaVinci Resolve - ie every RAW parameter is keyframeable. If you’re having performance issues or if it requires relinking all the time for no reason SOMETHING is going wrong - this is not usual. Feel free to reach out!

IMPROVEMENTS: - This is a MASSIVE update. We've made HUGE changes under the hood to improve performance on Apple Silicon Mac's. BRAW Toolbox should now be faster and more stable than ever before. HUGE thank you to the amazing Anton Marini for all his help, guidance, genius and support! However, due to the sheer number of under-the-hood changes, we highly recommend making a ZIP of your current version of BRAW Toolbox before updating for safety, so that you can rollback if needed. - Added a "Open User Guide" button to the BRAW Toolbox application. - Updated from FxPlug v4.3.3 to v4.3.4. Thanks Darrin Cardani and everyone at Apple! BUG FIX: - Fixed a regression in BRAW Toolbox v1.5.0 which could cause non-Immersive BRAW clips to crash BRAW Toolbox. My sincerest apologies for missing this bug during testing!
