Description

Breveto is a beautiful writing app for Mac with an elegant writing experience. You can use it for note-taking, writing, journaling, task lists, project planning, dev notes; you name it!

# Your Files, Finally Organized
It’s hard to stay organized when your notes get reordered every time you edit a different one. Even worse, notes that have not been edited in a while get lost at the bottom, never to be seen again. Breveto sets itself apart from other writing apps by using a file tree that allows you to effortlessly drag and drop files into place, where they remain precisely where you put them. Easily create nested folders, and pin essential files to the top.

# You're In Control
Locations give you the freedom to store your files anywhere. Create a location in iCloud to sync them across all your Macs, or choose a folder to store them locally on your computer. Use multiple locations simultaneously as different workspaces.

# The Ultimate Editing Experience
Once you've tried Breveto, you'll never go back to your old writing app. Every detail has been crafted to create an amazing writing experience. Welcome to your blank slate.

• Fix spelling and grammar mistakes with one click.

Very pleased with this one

Found out about this app because I'm a longtime user of one of the developers other apps (ColorSlurp, which is also quite elegant). I'm not exactly what you'd call a power user whe it comes to taking notes, but I do need to be able to. Breveto strikes a nice balance between simplicity/ease of use and still having all the tools one would need and expect. I've used some apps that look nice and clean, but are also functionally too limited. Breveto has a slick UI, but the tools are still there. My only recommendations would be an integration with the menu bar for quick/always-on access... and for bullet items in lists to remain indented even when an item wraps to a second line (currently, text wrapping to a second line in a bullet list isn't indented — it's flush with the bullet itself). The latter might seem minor/petty, but as a designer, it's the kind of thing that irritates a little. Overall a great app, though — certainly no qualms about getting the Pro subscription.

Functional and Gorgeous!

Breveto has made organizing and keeping my notes visually fun and WAY more functional! I can easily move files around where I want them, and the themes are gorgeous! I transferred all of my notes into Breveto and deleted my other writing apps.
This one is all you need!

Potential

I'll echo the other reviews here. Breveto has a ton of potential. It rivals Ulysses for a clean, distraction-free, text-forward writing environment, with AI tools baked-in. Just what I was looking for!

The only problem is that sync isn't working properly for me, even when selecting iCloud as a location (which the developer says is the most reliable). I have the app installed on two machines, but my files and locations are never in sync. I've tried closing/opening the apps, and re-installing, but changes made on one machine don't show up on the other. This is obviously a deal breaker, as it could lead to data loss. That's why I'm giving it just 3 stars.

I'm pulling for this app, tho. It could be so good!
