Build Words with Prefixes and Suffixes was developed by a speech-language clinician and special education teacher who are dedicated to educating children with diverse backgrounds and learning disabilities. Our use of photographs representing real people and objects, rather than cartoons, helps students make real world, concrete connections between pictures and text.

Build Words with Prefixes and Suffixes provides comprehensive practice for students who are developing language and literacy skills (ESL, ELA, ELL, DHH, SL, LD, ASD, DCD) and for third grade students working at grade level on CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RF.3.3.a Identify and know the meaning of the most common prefixes and derivational suffixes
