BuildWatcher is a very simple, scriptable, status-monitoring tool. Its window shows its current status, and the time it was set. It floats on top of all other windows, and persists across all desktop Spaces. It's ideal for keeping track of tasks that take a while to run and are easy to forget about, like large Xcode builds, especially if you get sidetracked by other things.
