Much better (and cheaper) than Fantastical

I deleted Fantastical after a trial because I felt the interface was too cluttered. And so, I continued my quest for the perfect app that combined calendar events and reminders in a single view. I tried everything and none were satisfying: The ones I sort of liked would not syc with iOS reminders and calendar, so that was a no-no, and others that did were too heavily calendar or reminders oriented. This app strikes just the right balance. It barely occupies space (it sits on the menu bar), you can open it quickly for a clean overview of upcoming commitments and you can quickly add events and reminders. I still like my iOS calendar and reminders notifications bette: For iOS calendars, notifications don't tell you how long ago you were notified but how long you have till your event, and iOS reminders notifications persist on your notifications screen until you deal with them. This is a limitation of not just Calendar 366, but of any other non-stock app. However, I simply add events and reminders on Calendar 366 and, since it syncs with iOS calendars and reminders app, I simply set it up so that I only get notifications through the stock apps. Just my two cents about how you can make the most out of this app. Maybe a few more theme customizations would not hurt, but other than that, BIG THUMBS UP!!!

Calendar App

I have used Calendar 366 II for so long that it's just a part of my life now. I didn't really realize it until I moved to Big Sur and Big Sur added another clock to my menu bar which drives me crazy because it's messing with my Calendar 366! I really can't live without it anymore. It handles multiple calendars better than any other app and I can quickly get into my online meetings when I'm running late by 3 clicks: One to open Calendar 366, one to click on the event in question (because today's events are already showing for me) and one to click from the event discription to open the meeting. Wonderful.

Getting close to fantastical, but still ways to go

Frankly I think that it is an almost 4 star app, but I appreciate communication and I emailed the developer and havent heard back over 2 weeks later, so i feel 3 stars will do it for now. If the app had a few more features and most importabtly the exact same design and alyout as fantastical this would be a 5 stars app with or without the developer communication.

I think that if the developer keeps focusing on getting the app as close as possible as the design, layout and basic functionality of fantastical, while keeping it a one time payment app, or moving into an entry purchase plus minimal yearly subscription this could be the app that allows me to finally leave fantastical behind, but sadly this app still lacks a lot of the basic functionalities and design is close but also lacks in comparison.
