Ratings and Reviews
No Landscape Mode?
Are you kidding me??? As an iPad Pro user with a keyboard I have to take it out of its stand and and hold it in portrait to use this app? Come on… Edit: Don’t get me wrong, I love/need access to the courses offline, and it turns out the videos play in landscape, so that’s good. It’s just the app that won’t. Oh, and apparently lessons will not download in the background, the app needs to be open. Keep going developers, you’re on the right track… Edit 2: Thanks!
Developer Response ,
Thank you for your feedback! We have great news! The Landscape mode issue has now been fixed by our development team. Please update the app to the latest version. Feel free to contact our support team at emil@iphonephotographyschool.com if you have any questions!
Latest Version removed offline / download options
You would think software developers would learn there lesson after the Sonos debacle. DO NOT release a “new enhanced” version removing popular and important features. You just killed the usefulness of this app and classes as I use it away from home. Should I buy a new cellular data plan because your new version removes features ? I can tell you the one thing I’m not buying, is anymore classes. Also, you never clean up the previously downloaded videos but do NOT use them when watching. It was still getting the video via streaming and it was ignoring the downloaded copy from the previous version. Had to clean up those unused files via the iPhone storage method. FAIL. Yea classes are useful, some better then others, just don’t expect to be watching them on trains, planes and automobiles!!
Developer Response ,
I appreciate your feedback and apologize for any frustration caused by the recent changes to the CamGuru app. As software developers, we continually strive to improve our products, but sometimes adjustments can inadvertently impact existing features.
As for the issue with previously downloaded videos not being utilized, I apologize for any inconvenience. We’ll investigate this further to ensure a smoother experience in the next release. Thank you for your patience, and please stay tuned for updates.
Constant requests to buy more
When watching the courses on the phone, there are a number of problems I found. 1. There are constant requests to get discounts to either buy the course I already bought or other things. 2. Viewing the course on the phone is incredibly frustrating because I can’t see or zoom in effectively on the phone settings that are being being referred to to during the video. I have resorted to watching the classes on my computer. 3. The third complication is too difficult to describe.
The information is very useful and the teaching is very good, but I’m only on class 2.
I will only use the app if I absolutely have to traveling without my laptop.
