Content is good but difficult to use

The problem with Craftsy is that neither the app or the website is very good. The app lets you save a list of favorite classes so you don’t have to do a new search every time you come back to the app, but it won’t save your place in the course you were doing and there are no video controls like playback speed or search or go back 10 sec. Plus you cannot get the PDFs that go with the class on the app. The website does have some playback controls but you can’t save your favorites and it also doesn’t save your place in the course so you have to start from the beginning every time.

They give you 2 free classes that you cannot get rid of even though you have absolutely no interest in the topics. That is an annoyance, not a benefit.

There IS a lot of good content so I may renew even though this is the worst learning platform design I have ever used.

NOT user friendly

I like the classes. They are informative. That being said, the instructors speak of “class materials”. Go ahead, try to get to them. I have a premium subscription. I cannot get to the class materials no matter how many times I delete and reload the app. I cannot download the materials going through the website. I have not received a reply from support. I only recently signed up again for Craftsy. I had a subscription years ago which I cancelled due to this exact problem. If it is not corrected, I will be canceling my subscription again. If you just want to watch videos, with no class materials to help you later on? This is great. If you actually want to learn a new skill, have the class materials and bonus materials so you can actually follow along properly and learn something? This is not the place.

Figure it out Craftsy. You have a wonderful opportunity to have a world class teaching platform. Right now? You have a video launch site.

Unfortunately, bonus materials are not available on the Craftsy app and you must visit the website to access and download the class materials. Like classes

The classes are fun, which is why I signed up for a membership. I tend to sign up for things and then forget the terms, when things renew, premiums, and so on.

The app and website are not helpful for me to find the details of the membership I committed to. Sarah in customer service was very helpful. She let me know I had a premium membership and it’s expiration date.

I wish I didn’t have to contact customer service for such basic information. The app needs to give this info to the consumer, e.g. under “Accounts”. This information needs to be easily accessible by the consumer. It is almost as though Craftsy hopes people will forget they have auto-renew on and let their membership renew into another year unintentionally. As I said, I enjoy the classes. Please work on fixing this problem.
