Cap150: a smaller social network
Most apps are built to make your list of people longer. This one stops it at 150, which is roughly the number of relationships anyone can really keep up with. Every post stops at 1,000 views, so nothing you write travels much further than the people you meant it for, and you can write like you are talking to them. Because you are.
Nothing rearranging your feed to keep you in it. No like counts on show. Your view count and your reactions are there for you and nobody else.
Things you can do here
• Post to your circle, or to Discover if you want it seen more widely. Text and photos, and you can set a post to publish later or delete itself afterwards.
• Message people one to one or in groups, with voice notes, photos, replies, reactions and messages that disappear.
• Seal a Capsule. A note or a photo that stays shut until a date you pick, and opens on its own.
• Share a Moment that lasts a day, and a Mood line that stays until you change it.
• Play something. Two-player and party games live inside every chat, and there is an arcade with tickets you earn by playing.
• Keep a shared Calendar, and private Rooms for the people you plan things with.
• Use it in a tunnel. The games and your own profile work with no signal at all, and anything you write while you are offline is kept and sent the moment you are back.
Privacy, in practice
• Posts and messages are visible only to the people you chose. Photos and voice notes are served through short-lived links that check who is asking, every time one is opened.
• You can see every device signed in to your account and sign any of them out from here. If a new one signs in, you get an email about it.
• You can leave properly. Deleting your account takes your posts, photos and messages with it.
Keeping it calm
• Report any post, message or profile in one tap.
• Blocking someone hides everything of theirs straight away, and tells us.
• A word filter and a set of plain rules catch the obvious things. A person reads every report, and we act within 24 hours.
• You need to be 13. A parent can set up and look after a teen account, approve who they connect with, and set screen time limits in Family settings.
Plans, if you want one
Cap150 is free, and free includes cloud storage for your photos and voice notes. If you fill it, Plus, Pro and Max add room up to 100 GB and move your support tickets to the front of the queue. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple Account, and you can switch or cancel yours whenever you like in Settings. Restore Purchases is on the Plans screen.
Refunds go through Apple rather than through us, so if something has gone wrong, talk to us first and we will help you sort it.
The 150 connections and the 1,000 views apply to everyone. Us included.
