CapRoute is the VFR flight-planning companion built for private pilots and student pilots. On iPhone and iPad, it computes the full heading chain for every leg of your navigation: true course -> magnetic course -> true heading -> magnetic heading -> compass heading. Drift, wind correction angle, ground speed and flight time update the moment you change wind or TAS.
— Why CapRoute —
Planning a VFR flight on the ground means repeating the same variation, deviation and drift maths ten times in a row. CapRoute does that work for you without hiding the logic: the 2×3 matrix (Course/Heading × True/Magnetic/Compass) shows every conversion, and the compass rose visualises true course, magnetic heading, compass heading and the wind vector all at once. You arrive at the aircraft with a clean log, a validated compass heading, and the confidence of having understood every number.

• Multi-leg. Each leg has its course, distance and time. Totals are computed automatically for the full route.
• Full wind solution. Crosswind component → WCA, head/tailwind component → ground speed.
• Per-leg wind. Use a single wind for the whole route, or override it per leg (handy near a front or in mountainous terrain).
• Teaching matrix. Read TC → MC → TH → MH → CH at a glance, with VAR and DEV breakdown.
• Interactive compass rose. True heading, magnetic heading, compass heading, wind vector and drift angle on a single dial.
• A4 PDF export. One page per leg, ready to drop in a kneeboard. Generated locally, no network.
• One-tap reverse. Turn the outbound nav into the return nav without re-entering anything.

• Bilingual. Fully localised UI in French and English, with PDF export in the language you pick — independent of the system language.

CapRoute collects no personal data. No account, no tracker, no analytics, no third parties. Your navigations stay on your devices and, if you opt in, in your own private iCloud container.

PPL and LAPL students, private pilots, instructors looking for a teaching aid for the TC→CH chain, ultralight pilots wanting a quick computation before a VFR flight. CapRoute is not an EFB. It does not replace a current aeronautical chart, an official weather briefing or a paper log. The pilot in command remains fully responsible.
