Core Features Group Collaboration System Careguide enables up to two family members to collaborate on elder care through a shared group account. One member serves as the administrator with full control over data management.Access with six digit unique code. Authentication & Security The app implements multi-layered security to protect sensitive healthcare information: - Phone Number Authentication: Users sign in using their phone number with SMS-based OTP verification through Firebase Authentication - Biometric Security: Face ID or Touch ID can be enabled for quick, secure access to the app - Secure Storage: All data is encrypted and stored securely using Firebase Firestore and Firebase Storage Care Management Tab The Care tab is the central hub for tracking medications, supplements, and dietary requirements, organized into three distinct categories: Medications Tracking: - Add detailed medication information including name, dosage, and frequency (once, twice, or thrice daily) - Specify exact times for each dose using meal time markers (breakfast, lunch, dinner) - Customize meal times (e.g., set breakfast at 8:00 AM, lunch at 12:00 PM, dinner at 6:00 PM) - Select specific days of the week for each medication or set to every day - Enable reminder notifications with customizable advance notice (default 30 minutes before) - Add additional notes for special instructions - View all medication details at a glance including dosage, frequency, times, and days Supplements Management: - Track vitamin and supplement intake with the same detailed scheduling options as medications - Set specific dosage amounts and timing - Enable reminders to ensure consistent supplement routines Diet Tracking: - Document dietary requirements and meal plans - Set meal times and schedules - Add notes for dietary restrictions or preferences Vault - Secure Document Storage The Vault provides secure cloud storage for important medical and healthcare documents with 25MB of storage space per group: Document Categories: - Emergency Documents: Store critical emergency contact information, living wills, and healthcare directives - Insurance: Upload insurance cards, policy documents, and coverage information - Imaging: Store medical imaging reports, X-rays, and scan results - Reports: Keep lab results, test reports, and medical records - Other: Flexible category for any additional healthcare documents All documents are stored securely in Firebase Storage and can be accessed by both group members at any time. Contacts Management The Contacts tab organizes all healthcare-related contacts in one accessible location by location. The import feature allows users to quickly populate their healthcare contacts by selecting multiple entries from their phone's contact list, significantly speeding up initial setup.
