CaseLeaf is a PDF reader for people who work in their documents rather than just look at them.
Read comfortably. Continuous, facing and spread layouts, a reading mode that gets out of the way, and a fast search across the whole document.
Mark it up. Highlights, notes, comments, tags and freehand. Every mark lands in a marks list you can sort, filter and export, so a day of reading leaves something behind.
Work the page. Crop, split, merge, rotate and compress. Recognise text on a page or across a whole document. Compare two revisions and see what moved. Fill and sign forms.
Redact properly. Black-out that removes the content underneath rather than drawing over it, with a record of what was removed and why, levels and reasons, de-identification and Bates numbering.
Automate it. A command line and AppleScript for the work you do more than once.
CaseLeaf is free to read with, for ever: reading, search, highlights, notes, comments, tags, the marks list and its export, recognition of a selection, measuring and workspaces are included at no cost, with no page limits, no watermarks and no mark counts. Pro adds whole-document recognition, tables, compare, forms, page surgery, signing, export and automation. Legal adds true redaction, the redaction record and Bates numbering. Both are subscriptions, and what you made under one stays yours if it lapses.
