I first installed this app because I read that it was a smaller indie app, as opposed to the “billionaire owned” trackers. I was able to easily move over to this app using the ‘import library’ feature (but must be on a desktop for this step!). It has a clean and sleek design which makes it easy to use to keep track of reading progress without additional clutter. It keeps a list of ‘want to read’ and ‘read’ books, as well as a section to keep track of books you own. You are able to set reading goals for the year, and the advanced statistics tell you your reading trends (ie most read genre, author, rating, etc) - even a breakdown of trends per month and by pages read! I like that you are able to give partial ratings, and create custom tags for books to help categorize beyond just genre. I had used the basic version for a couple of months and upgraded to the Pro version, which gives a lot of the advanced statistics listed earlier. No regrets with this app! I like supporting the smaller indie developers, and I am honestly excited to see how this one grows. From what I can tell, ChapterLog has a small development team (I think maybe even only one person), but they are very responsive to suggestions, feedback, and issues; and regularly have updates that continually make the app better. I reached out twice already and both times got a quick response and an update was available within a few days. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much for the kind words! We are always happy to make app updates when you have suggestions. We are also super happy to hear you are enjoying what we’ve built so far. You are correct, this is a tiny dev team and our goal is to make this the best reading app we can. We are more about privacy than making money, but the Pro Memberships help us keep the lights on. Your support is honestly what keeps it going, growing, and improving. Reach out any time!-ChapterLog Team
