Charnib is a cooking and meal-preparation app designed for American-style family dinners. It integrates recipe selection, meal scheduling, grocery list management, and the documentation of your cooking process. The app includes 24 built-in recipes, ranging from beef, chicken, and veggie burgers to skewers, roasted chicken, wraps, rice bowls, and various side dishes. You can view ingredients and step-by-step instructions, adjust portion sizes for 1–8 people, and pair main courses with side dishes. Recommendations are tailored based on your dietary preferences, allergies, available time, kitchen equipment, current pantry inventory, and feedback on previous meals. Plan your dinners for the week ahead with the flexibility to lock specific meals, swap dates, adjust the number of servings, or skip/restore days. When modifying a recipe, the app shows how your shopping requirements will change. The grocery list aggregates ingredients from your scheduled meals and subtracts items already in your inventory, displaying the exact quantities needed and the recommended number of packages to purchase. After shopping, you can update your inventory by confirming the actual number of packages bought and their unit prices. While cooking, follow step-by-step instructions, set multiple timers, and save your progress to resume later. Once a meal is complete, you can log the actual ingredients used, provide feedback on the taste, and record any leftovers. A history deduplication feature helps merge duplicate entries for the same cooking session while preserving records of distinct, repeated cooking instances. Core features are available offline; no registration is required, and you can manually export your kitchen data.
