CheckMySpot allows users to submit a photo of a single skin lesion and have a board-certified dermatologist review the spot within 24-48 hours. Once screened, the dermatologist will select 1 of 3 dispositions: 1) Green: benign (no clinic visit needed at this time but user should monitor for future changes, 2) Yellow: indeterminate (non-urgent clinic visit needed), and 3) Red: worrisome (demonstrates characteristics of skin cancer, urgent clinic visit needed). If a user receives a yellow or red disposition, CheckMySpot will expedite a referral either their existing dermatologist or a qualified dermatologist in their area.
