Great app!

I love this app! My only beef at the moment is there used to be a voice that would say the word so that you could learn pronunciation and for some reason it’s gone and I’m not sure how to fix it?

Technical difficulties with some features.

For the most part, this app is good. However during the course of learning it, I’ve come across some problems with a few of the words. Under food category the word for cheese comes up twice and for some reason the word comes up as asáŋpi sutá which is the Lakota word for cheese. Under the colors category, the audio on the word for brown doesn’t seem to correspond with how the word appears in written form. Under the living room category the audio for ‘chair’ isn’t working properly because the audio plays a list of unrelated, incorrect words without playing the Cheyenne word for ‘chair.’

Another issue I noticed which pertains to every single category is that sometimes the audio and the answers in the listening categories don’t correspond. As a result it becomes very easy to choose the wrong word if you don’t click on the word to get the correct audio. At first I thought that was just a way of making the listening categories more challenging, but I have downloaded other language apps from Language Conservancy.Org and none of them have that problem.

This app requires some improvements, but otherwise it’s a pretty solid one. I earnestly hope this app can be refined and improved. I very much support the work the Language Conservancy does and I strongly believe that endangered languages, such as Cheyenne, be taught and preserved.
