The new China Airlines mobile app is your personal travel secretary. It provides you with personalized flight information and services including mobile check-in, flight and miles management, and flight status updates so you can enjoy every moment of your trip.

The New China Airlines Mobile App Features:

•Book Flights
Search for flights then enter your payment details to book a flight.
•Online Check-in
Passengers can check in online between 48 hours to 60 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Flights to the United States (including Guam) are subject to local government regulations, and the check-in time is between 24 hours to 60 minutes before departure.
•Meal Selection
Premium business & premium economy passengers can pre-order the main courses from 21 days to 24 hours before flight departure. And all class passengers with special religious or medical requirements can pre-order the special meals at least 24 hours before flight departure.
•Seat Selection
Use new China Airlines mobile app to select seats for you and your companions.
•Boarding Pass/My Wallet
All you boarding passes and coupons are collected here for convenience.
•Flight Information
Search and track all China Airlines timetable and flight status for the latest arrival and departure times.
•My Bookings
A convenient feature that helps you manage your flight itineraries. Access important information on your flight including timetable, status, and itinerary. You also receive push notification on any changes to your flight.
•Personal Information and Miles Management
Dynasty members can manage and edit their personal information, flight miles and Mileage Correction in the CI app.
•Personal Promotions
Information on the latest promotions including Dynasty member exclusives and CI website.

Including Wi-Fi Onboard, high speed rail tickets, and prepaid excess baggage allowance, etc.
•Contact us
Information on China Airlines Global business locations including address and contact number. Tap on number to dial.
•Passport scanning and document saving
Simply scanning your passport for filling in the information instead of typing in all; To save more time in Check-in process, you may save your travel documents in advance in ‘Settings’. This will automatically bring information in check-in process when checking in your flight.
•Dynasty Sky Reading
Passengers can download the publications to their personal electronic devices (mobile phones and tablet computers) for an unlimited number of times before departure and within 48 hours after flight arrival.

Very poor and limited mobile app

The China Airlines mobile app provides very poor insufficient information while at the LAX airport. It does not give out clear information as well as direction like other well known airlines apps. The items categories are poorly organized. Many unclear guidances for passengers before the flight. Suggest to borrow from other airlines apps like Delta, United even they are not perfect but provide travelers a peace of mind and smooth travel experience.

Outdated; get with the times

If you are reading this it’s because you are getting ready to travel with China Airlines and wanted the app for facilitating ease of travel. I am sorry to tell you that you done messed up. Succinctly put this app is horribly outdated - the design looks like it’s decades behind the times, and the app itself is buggy. The app has been attempting to load the privacy protection policy for 15+ mins now (quitting and reopening the app has not made a difference in helping the app load faster) - all while being on hold on the phone for 20 mins as well with the same recorded voice message “all representatives are busy now…please be patient” repeating every 10 seconds to the same loop of background music. My initial quoted wait time was 5 mins to hold before a representative would respond. This is such a shame considering I have flown China Airlines for over 30 years and have always enjoyed the in flight experience and on board services. This app does NOT match the quality experience delivered on a China Airlines Flight and the app developers need to be held accountable for that. Thank you

Terrible Travel Exeperience

My family and I traveled with CI 0012 from Taipei to New York on May 4th, 2024. That was a terrible experience. None of the flight attendants helped my family with an infant and a toddler. The flight was about 15 hours, yet none of the flight attendants set up the bassinet for our infant until the middle of the flight. My three-year-old was so tired we were trying to accommodate her for a nap during the non-flight, but the staff stopped us to set up a more comfortable place for her to nap. In such a vulnerable situation, up in the air without any support and with the need to take care of two young children, we were highly disappointed with the service provided by China Airlines. After all, that experience related to not only a terrible flight for my family but also a significantly worse impression of the surface provided for a young family who needed extra attention during a long flight. I would recommend my parents, friends and family not to take the China Airlines.
