Christmas Countdown (2024‪)‬ 4+

Amazing!

This app is amazing for multiple reasons.

First off, it is free! There is a premium option that you can purchase, but having only the free items doesn’t take away from the experience. Many apps you have to pay to get all the good features. In this app, premium gives you more options in addition to the free ones.

Secondly, there is an advent calendar! Each day you get a new song, background, and activity idea. I love the present opening graphic it displays before showing the gift inside. This advent calendar changes each year and I really enjoy it.

Third of all, the app has amazing customization opportunities. For example, you can customize the countdown screen, and there are so many options! The calendar also gives you a tree to decorate, and the app allows you to customize it with so many different ornaments, tree sizes, lights, and toppers. It’s really amazing.

Finally, the countdown options are super detailed. You can pick if you want to countdown to Christmas or Christmas Eve, and how you want the time displayed. The app lets you pick if you want to see how many weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds, or sleeps there are left.

In conclusion, I would highly recommend this app to anyone who loves Christmas and I cannot thank the creator of this app enough.

Ups and downs

Overall I absolutely love this app. This is the second year I’ve used it and it really does bring a little bit more joy every day until Christmas. The app works by giving you a Christmasy suggestion every day. However, I’ve noticed that half of the suggestions take more than an hour to complete. Now if it was just the suggestion of a Christmas movie once or twice I wouldn’t mind at all. But the suggestion can be to set up your tree, decorate your room, or send your Christmas cards. These tasks are almost impossible to complete on a randomized schedule and leave me frustrated because I can’t participate in the advent for these days. I know these are just suggestions but honestly I’d perfect repeats of having a holiday drink or treat since achievable goals. However, my favorite advents are the activities available in app such as collecting snow flakes. I absolutely adore these days and I wish there were even more in app games and features for the days that pass.

Wonderful, but an energy Hog!!

I got this app earlier this week because all of the reviews were so terrific. It does everything people have described and loved about it. I downloaded it to both my IPad (5th Generation), that I got for Christmas last year, and my IPhone 6s that I’ve had for about 5 years. But I have 2 problems with it. First, I paid for the upgrade to premium... only $1.99, a pretty good deal, but it Did Not apply to both devices, which is annoying. Second, it’s not only draining the battery on both devices so that I have to charge them more often....(Not Helpful when I’m out & about), but it’s slowing them or my wi-fi reception down tremendously!!! It’s taking both Safari and Google at least double if not triple the time to load!! I’d get frustrated with that anytime of the year, but even more at Christmas when I’m looking up gift ideas and shopping online!! I will be deleting this app from both devices due to these problems. Thanks for your review! Your Premium purchase is tied to your Apple account, so if you're using the same account on each device, you only need to pay for it once. The app shouldn't affect your battery much at all. Once it is in the background, the countdown and snow are paused to ensure that it doesn't use battery.
