CivCrafter 4+

You see, when i was looking for a stupid game to play, i found this. And while looking at it i thought “this looks like the simplest game ever! Why would someone make this?” And now a few days later, it’s basically the hardest game ever, and i love it! You would expect this to be simple [CREATE A CITY] but its much more than that. You not only need to make a working economy, but you need to take materials from other lands to build what you need. And the fact that they have four different kinds of soldiers, adds a difference. You have: soldiers, archers, knights, and dragons! Not only is this game simple, but its amazing

I actually enjoyed this click game. Build up resources, army and research technologies. The major draw back for me is that resources do not gather when your not in game. This wasn't a problem at first as all resources except piety have icons you can tap to generate extra in addition to what your civ mines. Piety is generated by your priest in your temples and only while you have the game open. Once again not a problem at first but then as you get to some of the later technologies they start requiring piety to research. Not much at first but it quickly climbs to 20k piety to start research. The problem is you have to have the game open to collect piety and there's just not enough to do to keep you occupied while waiting. You can build tons of temples and build up a large population that you turn to priest to make the process faster but your still left starring at your phone with nothing to do while waiting on piety. In the end it caused me to uninstall the game. I did have fun with the portion of the game I did play and its not a pay to win type game. Its very easy to compete and win without having to pay if you choose to remain free.

I absolutely love this game from the instant I first installed it. The ease of a clicker with the deep-thinking associated with a strategy game. It goes into depth with war, clans, advanced buildings, upgrades, classes, specialists, and so much more.

There are bugs, that’s no lie. Some dynamics are faulty, such as resource gathering and the farmer-to-population ratio. This happens with any good game, so CivCrafter still gets a high rating. This game is not a full version of the online game, so keep that in mind when looking for certain features.

The other issue, and possibly biggest, is the fact that Naquatic has made no developments in 6 months. I don’t know if it’s taking a long time, etc. but if you are expecting a game with new features quite often, this is not the game for you. I am hoping they start working on it again, so keep your fingers crossed.
