Fixes a regression with "Keep External Displays On & Prevent Idle Sleep" and "Turn Off Displays and Prevent Idle Sleep" actions when the MacBook is not connected to the external power.

Fixed nasty bug: It was impossible to enable sharing with iCloud after a user purged iCloud data via iCloud's Manage Storage user interface.

Clamshell now supports sharing system statuses with iCloud: Awake, Sleeping, Logging out, Restarting, Shutting down, Restarted, Shut Down, User Logged Out, App Terminated. To see these statuses in the iOS version of the Clamshell app, you should update macOS and iOS versions on all your devices to the 2.1+. Note for users of iMac, Mac mini, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro: Clamshell is useful for you finally! Use it to monitor statuses of your Mac desktops remotely from iPhone/iPad. Yay!

This is a BigBigBig update! Clamshell now can be installed on iPhones and iPads! Why? To monitor remotely the state of your Macs! You can enable sharing states of all your Macs with iPhones and iPads that are signed in to the same iCloud account, and where the Clamshell app is installed. To do this, select the "Sharing Settings..." option in the Clamshell macOS app running on your Mac and enable "iCloud". Sharing is disabled by default. You should enable it by hand on all your Macs that you want to monitor remotely. After that, you will be able to control sharing settings from iOS versions of the Clamshell app. Clamshell now supports sharing only the laptop lid statuses. More statuses will come in the year: OS statuses (running, sleeping, shutting down, restarting), power statuses (powered on/off), and so on. No data is shared with third-party providers. Clamshell is not using any external servers but only Apple's iCloud servers. You're in full control of your data! Additionally, in this version, we: 1. Added Tahoe-style icon. Clamshell icon is adopted to the dark, clear, and tinted styles now. 2. Bumped minimal required macOS version up to Sonoma (14.0+). Ventura is not supported. 3. Fixed "Install Clamshell Daemon" dialog on Sequoia (well, I hope ;).

Turn Off Displays & Prevent Idle Sleep and Keep External Displays On & Prevent Idle Sleep actions work as expected even when your MacBook runs on battery, i.e. mandatory sleep on lid close prevented. Yay! Keep External Displays On & Prevent Idle Sleep action will keep the built-in display powered on and unlocked until the lid is opened.

1. New: You could hide Clamshell App icon in the menu bar to unclutter your desktop. Yay! 2. New: When you click on the icon of Clamshell App in Launchpad or Applications folder in Finder, and Clamshell App is already running in the background, its settings menu will open automatically. I hope this new behavior would help users who get lost in my minimalistic UI ;) 3. Fix: No more strange windows in Sequoia Beta… I hope ;) There are no menus and related controls when Clamshell App is hidden, so if you want to change its settings, you should put Clamshell App back on the menu bar. To do it: • Open Launchpad or Applications folder in Finder • Find Clamshell • Click it (double click it in Finder)

Action "Keep External Displays On & Prevent Idle Sleep" will turn displays on if they are off.

Fixed “You shouldn’t see this window” bug.

New action: Turn Off Displays & Prevent Idle Sleep. Turn Off Displays & Prevent Idle Sleep puts all displays in the sleep mode and creates a power assertion preventing the rest of the system entering an idle sleep. This mode is useful for users who use MacBook with external displays connected. When you close the lid of your Mac connected to the power, a built-in display and all external displays go black but running applications remain working in the background, such as Music keeps playing, Safari keeps downloading big file, etc. When your MacBook runs on battery, Turn Off Displays & Prevent Idle Sleep mimics the system default behavior, i.e. a simple Sleep.

New action is finally here: It's Shutting Down time! Shut Down initiates swift and unavoidable system shutdown when the lid of your MacBook closes. No questions asked. This mode is useful, if you work on MacBook in the unsafe public places, such as parks, cafes, bus stations, etc. Mac will shut down automatically when lid closes, preventing anyone to bypass password protection with Touch ID/ Face ID, and preventing some advanced hacking techniques, such as cold boot attack, dumping RAM and circumventing FileVault. This mode also helpful, if your MacBook awakes often in your backpack.

macOS version requirements have been relaxed: Ventura is supported now.
